Yeah that's the nature of front wheel drive, especially as the wheelbase is longer as well, Plus it's heavier on a longer circuit it would fair better. But I think both cars are pretty evenly matched in very different ways so whatever circuit you choose it cannot be completely fair..

wow the itr had skinny 195 tires?? 225/45 r15 at least. in almost all best motoring videos they complain of understeer in fwd cars, but the prepers that bring the cars to the show never tried to put bigger tires at front

Maybe but I if the other guy was familiar with the 86, The dori himself would've struggled. As it's very tight circuit, which favors oversteer over understeer, The ITR is FF and has a longer wheelbase plus is heavier. All limiting factors at a circuit like this. Both cars are pretty evenly matched in Very different ways. It definitely would've been closer...

For reals, it's a poor man's B16B making less power and torque from the original B18C R. While Dori Dori had his personal fully tuned car: 1.8l upgrade/itbs with FD. Side note: when the 86 beat the EK9, it had the upgraded 1.8l minus the FD, tuned suspension but the EK9 was completely stock from the factory. The '86 got embarrassed so bad that BMI had to pull some shit like this. Imagine the EK9 smashing the '86.
