seeing his power in this made me have an idea. Dottore has said the sky in Teyvat is fake and a lot of the art motifs in the game show the sky could be made of a glass mirror or a reflective surface? Kinda explains why some catalysts can change the sky's color? Anyway, if we're calling Zhongli's rock a meteor, that implies it came from outer space or not from Teyvat. So how can Zhongli, a being from Teyvat that uses elemental powers from Teyvat, control an object outside of Teyvat and breakthrough that fake sky? It would make more sense if he just carved out a mountain somewhere in Teyvat and hurled that. Unless,... he's not from Teyvat, which leads to the assumption of why his statue holds a cube like the cubes Celestia uses, or why Geo visions aren't circular like the rest. idk it's just a Game Theory, cause our knowledge of what a meteor is is prob different in the game.

Seeing Makoto in action gives me the chills. She was known as a gentle god who hardly ever used her sword and obviously, she's nowhere near Ei's level when it comes to combat experience and martial prowess. However, it still gave me goosebumps to see her giving her all as the Electro Archon.

​​​​@@grandladykismet8711 I think you misunderstood their story, so I'll resume it for you :) Makoto was summoned, alongside the other Archons, when the cataclysm in Khaenri'ah happened. From what we know, they took part in the Nation's destruction because of Celestia's orders. Makoto had written a letter to inform Ei of her departure, so she would be aware of where she had went. Ei, scared for her sister's life after discovering the letter, went to Khaenri'ah in hopes to aid her. However, when Ei had arrived, it was already too late : Khaenri'ah had already been destroyed, and Makoto had perished in the battle. All Ei could do was listen to her sister's dying breath. That's how Ei became the current Archon of Inazuma, taking her sister's place and building puppets to fill the role, while she remained in her Planes of Euthymia to slow down erosion and be at peace. So no, Ei didn't take part in the destruction of Khaenri'ah, it was Makoto, who was Inazuma's Archon at that time. Ei only saw the damage that was made and her sister dying. Hope that helps ! :D

​@@darkmoon6105I disagree. I prefer to say that Clothar is Kaeya's collateral ancestor while Anfortas is Kaeya's direct ancestor. Kaeya has more knightly values than that Clothar. Anfortas really fits the tab as Kaeya's ancestor because he took the post as regent when their King Irmin's health was failing and saves the Khaen'rian people by using the Ruin Golem to bring them on surface. Just like Kaeya is in charge as second in command of Mondstat's defense when Jean is not present. Clothar is the type of guy who still clings in the past than to move forward and I don't like his attitude. For me, he ruined 3.5 Caribert quest because he is so boring.

We actually don't know. Dain strait up said that "Khanri'ah was destroyed... by gods". He was there at the time and he has no reason to lie to us as far as I know. He did not mention abyssmal beasts being the destroyers at all in his depiction of events and that makes the whole thing really confusing. I think we are still far from learning the truth. All we know for certain is that there were abyssmal monsters present there at some point and there were gods. What came first, what came after and the actual connection between the events is yet to be determined

This is for the people who are unfamiliar with the lore of the cataclysm or need a refresher. Khaenri’ah, also known as the Eclipse Dynasty was destroyed by the seven. Due to unkown circumstances, Celestia showed anger torwards the people of Khaenri’ah, possible due to the nation using forbidden knowledge in their technological advancements. The Heavenly Principles responded to this by sending the Seven. (Venti, Zhongli, Makoto the former electro archon, Rukkhadevata the former dendro archon, Egeria the former hydro archon, and possibly the pyro archon Murata and the cryo archon Tsaritsa. Rukkhadevata decided to stay behind and not join the fight at Tunigi Hollow. She had a more important task of protecting Irminsul. Celestia then cursed the people of Khaenri’ah of immortality and the transformation to hilichurles and other monsters. Gold (Rhinedottir) (Albedo’s creator) sought revenge against the peopleof Teyvat, and released the large army of abyssal monsters to cause chaos on the surface. During the archon’s battle with these monsters, from our current information, we know two of them died. Makoto (ei’s sister) and Egeria (former hydro arc) Rukkhadevata used the remains of Egeria to combat the abyssal forces creating Pool of Amrita. During the process, Rukkhadevata had to sacrifice herself to protect Irminsul. Some notable people in this is Bosacious, one of the Yaksha, The Spellcaster, Yelan’s ancestor, Kaeya’s father, who is portrayed as a general or smth, Pierro, the first of the Fatui harbingers, the King of the Eclipse Dynasty, Durin, the dragon who poisoned Dvalin, Caribert, a young child turned hilichurl, and finally Clothar, the leader of the abyss alongside our twin. Notable Locations: The door of Khaenri’ah in the Sumeru desert, Tunigi hollow (the battle place), the deep parts of the Chasm, The Sumeru Forest. The spirit bird then sacrifices itself and the Pari emerge.

Seeing that Ruin Golem's last stand against the Golden Wolflord was pure epic, first it fired its Eye laser then deploys its Shield and punched the Golden Wolflord, it was pure awesomeness... At first, it seems that the Archon's came to help Khaenri'ah but due to the overwhelming numbers and the loss of Makoto and Egeria, Zhongli was left with no choice but to follow Celestia's original order and become the biggest team killer in all of Teyvat.

I think zhongli and venti combined their power to nuke the nation. Cuz they saw makoto died and other archon. The damage is critical they had no choice, seeing the nation is far gone and already decimated. They fought to hold off the monsters, when they can't hold on I think venti and zhongli came to an agreement to fully destroyed khaenriah. Venti releasing nuke destroying all land while zhongli throws a meteor decimating all life on khaenriah.

Honestly, this is why I love this game and it's community. The lore and the large portion of the community appreciating and creating ideas with each other about the story that the game is building over the years. This is probably one of the best animations I've ever seen and I hope more people see this as well as streamers. We definitely need to spread the word about this video to the more known lore streamers for how much lore mentions this vid has in each scene.

i agree as someone who loves the genshin lore and enjoyed quests and love doing the world quest it broke me how cruel the cataclysm is. It spared no one, it doesn't matter if you are a god, a fighter, a normal citizen or a child in war no one but opportunist wins😢. Well i know this is not a war because abyss monsters are not humans but the way it is depicted made it feel like one. A war wherein humanity just has no chance of winning😢.

Her "More About Ei: V" voiceline is incredibly sad. It's essentially her remembering the Cataclysm, and why she is fearful. She thinks if the traveler were there then everyone would have been safe, that they would have saved the world. It's honestly one of the most sad voicelines in the game imo. And it hinted towards the rift that the monsters spewed from. At least I assume that's what she meant by "That thing". If not then... Who knows.

I think she is referring to the Sustainer as "That Thing". We know that the sustainer was there at some point because when we see the abyss twin run towards a burning Khanri'ah in game we see many of the cubes that are associated with the sustainer since the intro cinematic. It might have well been the first time she really saw the Heavenly Principles power first hand and since she wouldn't know why the Sustainer was their on the ruins of Khanri'ah, she is worried that progress as exemplified by what Khanri'ah had achieved would bring the wrath of heaven. Though the two decrees as both recent and short lived, this fear explains why Ei turned from someone who cleared away obstacles to progress to one who saw eternity and stasis as compatable.

@@willzhang1936In short, ‘Greater Lord’ Rukkhadevata 🌳(the “former/original” Dendro Archon) dissolved herself into Irminsul, which she was born with, (the tree that acts like a database to everything in Genshin’s world including its history from the very beginning) so Teyvatans could forget about the Forbidden Knowledge and be spared from Heavenly Principles/Celestia who would destroy (and have destroyed) civilizations that possessed the Knowledge. In the process, she created Kusanali/Beur or Nahida 🌱, whom people of Sumeru refer to as ‘Lesser Lord’ since they have no respect for her (they do not know that she is basically Rukkadevata’s rebirth). The game still hasn’t revealed what the Forbidden Knowledge truly is but it is presumably the information about how the world, the abyss and the Celestia were created.

King Irmin's health was failing and the Alberich clan became regents. When Anfortas was betrayed by Hadura, his fellow Schwanenritter, he lost his left eye as a result of battling him. Even after Hadura's betrayal, he still gave him an honorary burial.

It 100% is. The Sorush world quest from 3.6 as well as some of the artifact lore from that patch tells us that Egeria was killed in the battle against the abyss and Rukkhadevata anchored her remaining consciousness to the Harvisptokhm tree to help cleanse the land around Tunigi Hollow from the abyssal remnants. The Pari were born from it.

After a few years of playing seeing the hardships the archons and regular folks went through at a slow pace somewhat cancelled the despair they experienced after the wars and invasions. i personally think Celestia was up to some bs trying to reclaim the abyss twin which the khanrians had tped out of confinement(accidentally) and when their plan both 1 released the abyss onto teyvat and 2 didn't kill/ capture the twin, they sent the arcons to delete it to both try to kill the twin in the crossfire and to hide their involvement however the archons knew pretty quickly that Celestia f'ed up but stayed quite because they didn't want they're civilizations getting sky nailed, which is also why they're all so willing to give up they're gnosis and flip Celestia the bird at every opportunity, this is also presumably the reason the mc is on teyvat instead of being captured, the fight against the abyss nocked us out of confinement as well

I almost forgot Venti's wind power was so corrosive, it shaped the land and rivers. He once even threw a whole kingdom and landed upside down in the middle of ocean. That monthly abyssal dungeon? I've watched this video at least a hundred times and I still can't believe how terrifying the story development is. I'm sure that when everyone started this game, we didn't expect such tragedy behind the beauty of the characters and landscapes. Our theories really improved over these 3 years, after hearing about Dainsleif's past, we started to think that Celestia wasn't as good as we thought, but in reality it seems they really wanted to help the unholy nation. However, I can understand the resentment of the Kaenrhya people towards the divines, they literally DESTROYED their nation, but maybe there was another way to deal with the Abyss... or maybe not. Now let's talk about our sibling, I don't really know when he arrived in Teyvat but what we saw in the video is more and more plausible with the information we've had since. With an event like that, why did he join the side of the abyss? After all they've done? What's more, if we add the samsara theory to teyvat's true nature, can we say that what he meant by "I've traveled in this world once" is that he's already done a samsara and therefore seen Kaenrhiya destroyed TWICE? I don't think we have enough information to come up with that kind of theory but I'm pretty sure his journey throught Teyvat is far from being the same as ours, we see the "good" in the archon's action whereas he traveled with the idea that they destroyed kaenrhya so in the end, maybe we'll fight him because of that and THAT WILL BE THE REAL IMPACT of this story. I can't wait to see Natlan, according to the pyro stone's description, the Pyro archon is going to share some secrets with us and I hope it's about celestia or the cataclysm. I don't think the game will end after reaching the last chapter we saw in the teaser of each reagion, the story of the abyss is far from being that simple, even if we finally found our brother at the end, it will only be a new journey... @@Schinak im of the thought that a certain individual faction within khaenri'ah started tampering with abyssal powers and thus caused the outbreak in the first place, wether on accident or on purpose which i doubt. and seeing as the cant know who exactly caused it, every single human there was cursed as punishment.

@@Schinak The curses, at least the Curse of the Wilderness, is Abyssian in nature; and the sources of Celestia's power we find, the Nails, are the complete opposite and made to suppress its power, like the dark mud. Also, it's been said the Heavenly Principles and the gods in general hate the Abyss with a passion. I theorize that Celestia didn't have anything to do with the curses, but it was the Abyss what did it. Or WHO, as it's been said the Abyss may be sentient, and there was The Sinner around at the time as well.

It almost made me cry😢 It was very sad to see the destruction of Khaenri'ah and the people transforming into the Hilichulrs but at the same time it was exciting to see what happened 500 years ago of how the archons Destroyed Khaenri'ah "For the sake of Teyvat" PDT: Kaeya has not changed almost anything, and if the one who appeared was his dad, then kaeya is identical XDDDD

Arghh, we need to see more of Barbatos moments.. We kinda know that Zhongli and Ei are badasses and we've seen a bit of Morax and Baal in action but Venti is always portrayed as a little passive(?). Even with the Hexenzirkel, he refused to fight and rather make peace. At least in some cutscenes, Xiao shows total respect to Zhongli which made him look godly, but Venti? Dude is too carefree, it's so hard to see him as a god 😭

Venti might also associate going full power with the Archon War and the Cataclysm which are memories that everyone we know who lived through it tries not to think of/have been drastically changed by them. Venti doesn't want to be the Archon he could be because being Archon is tied to ruling over others while he prefers to be by their side as friends. I could see the Tsaritsa having once been the most diplomatic given that she is likely to have been the god of love but something that happened in the Cataclysm shattered her going by how Venti comments on her having changed and so now she is the least displomatic.

In the lore the dude litearly made Monstad peaceful, It used to be a barren land with storms and cold but venti destryed all the storms (Except the ones in old monstad- stormterror layer and dragonspine) And made it inhabitable. meaning his power cover an entire country in the game and keeps it safe from tornados and such.

My theory is that the abyss was the the one that caused the fall of such civilization as we can se the ruin guards mainly fighting abyss creatures, then the people turned into monsters such as hilis due to the abysal energy, and the archons were sent to clean the place so that the abyss couldn't reach further into teyvat even if that meant nuking Khaenri'ah to ashes. Like how in Halo 3 the elites glazed Africa so that the flood didn't spread any further. And then the ppl of Khaenri'ah would blame the gods for the outcome, I mean, beasts destroy ur homeland and then some op dudes with RGB lights suddenly step in and nuke tf outta everything.
