(ENG) Peugeot 508 SW 2015 - Test Drive and Review

This generation of Peugeot is one of the last of the last classically built and unpretentious Peugeot's with original factory made shock absorbers that rendered the ride supremely comfortable. The -07 generation were the last Peugeot that featured exclusive use of Autoliv safety gear which are the costliest and the best safety equipment, but not a single reviewer mentioned this, thus making consumers make choices on flimsy and superficial reasons. Furthermore, Peugeot was continuously bashed by reviewers on how "cheaply" their cars were made while at the same time, majority of car manufacturers including luxury German makes had been kitted with cheaply made and dangerous Takata airbags that could kill rather than save passengers. This current crop of consumers are obessesed with screens and the latest gadgetry could care less about the quality of the internals and are easily misled. The newer Peugeot's may have the latest toys, but they have nothing on quality.

Great cars have owned them for years! Never a problem I now own a peugeot 2008 and love it very reliable and safe!

Marek Drives We have 407sw 2.0hdi since 2004. and I just hate te turning circle( I see that it didn't change :( ),and also the laziness of the engine(when you overtake on public road( 50-60km/h),you have to shift from 4 gear to 3rd :( ). But on highway is awesome. So basically it's the same car but with plastic surgery,am I right? They are looking for,of corse, reliability, comfort,big boot. Will you do review on the Superb combi? Or Octavia combi? Greetings from Croatia!!

Which one to choose? 🤔 Mercedes E 220 D, 2016(january) , 170.000KM, 9-G AUTOMATIC 16000EUR (former taxi car) PEUGEOT 508 SW GT, 2.0 D, 2015(december), 110.000km, AUTOMATIC, 14500EUR Both estate cars. Or to go for a Skoda Superb which is in range of Mercedes pricing and why is the price close to Mercedes when they get 3-4 years old?

So Marek, we know where the passat, 508 and insignia rank on the table, but what about the mazda6, avensis and mondeo? Based purely on my work through a ford dealership and limited knowledge of the cars, the table goes thus: Passat, mazda6, avensis, mondeo, 508/insignia. But I could be wrong.
