Got the GT version of this car. Happy with it, especially the ride comfort and practicality. Also some peace of mind as the French were not involved in the diesel scandal.

Chris Hill , hi, in essence, the 508 wagon I have has proven reliable so far. Only the tire pressure sensors were replaced under warranty. Had a Passat before. The VW was a bit stiffer, and the brakes were more aggressive. The Peugeot emphasizes more on comfort. The 150hp Diesel engine seems sufficiently powerful, with low end torque a bit lacking. However, it’s not a car for tossing around. Fuel economy in town is good, thanks to start-stop. All in all, I am getting a bit less than 6 liters/100km, which is still more than advertised. The interior is roomy, comparable to a Passat. Build quality seems fine. The full LED headlights in the GT are, in my view, phenomenal. Passengers enjoy the glass roof. Electronics are not the latest and greatest, but the essentials are there. I can’t really mention any notable flaws, nor outstanding qualities, besides the headlights.
