@Tremulousnut4 жыл бұрын
@@Chuito12PR She fell asleep on the floor right after a stream. Another time she outright missed a scheduled stream, viewers were panicking and contacted other 3rd gens to check up on her, she popped in last moment to apologise. When I am talking about part time job, I don't mean her other channel, but some other job outside of what she's doing. The joke is that she's a home tutor and doing the "ara~ ara~" routine. Then she also have to fit in voice training lessons because she wants to improve, especially her singing (which frankly, isn't good and she admits it). Financially she's probably doing ok (bar the gap where she was demonetised), but her life is a mess. She's got a really messy room (as cluttered as her C-Drive), denied it for a while, until she finally admitted and viewers made her do a "room cleaning stream". These Vtubers don't live healthy lifestyles, having a vampire schedule would be a blessing compared to what Korone is doing, or the super sedentary lifestyle of Marine.

I don't want to discourage people from writing messages like this to the Vtubers they like. Even though both the Japanese and the English are pretty weird, Noel still understood that the guy was saying that he likes her. With that said, you can't tell from this video but the Japanese is very broken in the Japanese message, it seems like it was translated from the English one by google translate or something like that. Noel struggled to make sense of it, and then gave him the "nihongo jouzu"(Your Japanese is good). This should tell viewers that whenever a Japanese person tells you that your Japanese is good, you should be worried. As for the video, please, for the love of god, don't use subtitles that fade in and out like that. It's really hard to read. There are some things missing from the translation as well like: 2:09 海外古参ニキじゃないですか。"It's a long time viewer dude from overseas." Would be how I translate this. The Japanese text says 恋に落ちる "to fall in love", so she looks at the English to find the words "fall in love", but she can't find it because it's in past tense but she's still looking for "fall". There are a bunch of things like this that are just really hard to tell when the subtitles are so rough. I don't want to discourage you from making translations either, but I hope you can make subtitles that are more accurate and easier to read in the future.

Kusaboke Translations // I thought I vaguely recognized your channel pic, I remember I’ve watched many of your videos. Thanks for all your subbing work, I’ve really enjoyed your videos. Good luck on whatever you’re doing since you’re not focusing on videos now. Also, do you have any suggestions on learning Japanese/how you learned Japanese? My methods aren’t great so I was wondering if you self studied and if you focused on anything first like vocab, kanji, grammar, or listening to natives.
@kusaboketranslations21634 жыл бұрын
@@smk7500 I have been self studying for years(on and off). Back when I started, my main motivation was to watch anime so I prioritized grammar, but it really depends on the person. It helps to know your short term and long term goals with Japanese. Short term, you might be interested in watching vtubers live, and that might give you a good idea of what you're lacking, what to focus on next etc. But it's also really useful to know how deep you are willing to go/how committed you are. I will lead you to some resources but it might be an information overload if you aren't interested in going that deep. github.com/EngJpDiscordExchange/Awesome-Japanese I would recommend starting here. I haven't used all of those resources so I can't really recommend all of them, but it's a good compilation of popular resources. There are also links to Discord servers and a subreddit so if you already use those you can more easily make learning Japanese a part of your life. I personally DON'T recommend things like "Hacking the Kanji"(learning 2000~ Kanji before learning anything else about Japanese), but some people say it worked very well for them. Every other resource in that link (that I used) was pretty good.

Some people don't know Japanese and still want to let them know they appreciate the VTubers. I can speak and read Japanese and sometimes send my marshmellows or super chats but I think people should be free to try their best even with google translate to express their thoughts. I think it's kinda dumb to gatekeep sending comments or mashmellows like this to them and feel condescending when telling people to stop doing so. I know the vtubers aren't going to literally say the writre's JP is bad and will find the way around just like Noel did in this case but I think that these youtubers may find it cute or nice to also have people outside of Japan rooting for them. Maybe I misunderstood your comment and took it in a rude manner but you just come off condescending in this case and I don't think you should be gate keeping this kind of things.
@kusaboketranslations21634 жыл бұрын
@@CapybaraEnjoyer123 Maybe it wasn't clear in my message but my complaints are aimed at the video, not the marshmallow sender. The marshmallow does have bad grammar, but that's okay. I was bothered by the subtitles that make the situation unclear. "The marshmallow has bad grammar" isn't my problem. My problem is "The subtitles don't clearly convey that the marshmallow has bad grammar, among other things." If the subtitles were clear, I wouldn't have to explain why I'm writing a comment saying "It's okay to write messages to VTubers even if your Japanese isn't great". I would have just said, "It's okay to write messages to VTubers even if your Japanese isn't great".
