the timeline, if i'm not wrong: [2018] kuzuha's individual vtuber debut (march 8th) -> scouted by nijisanji -> decision put on-hold (answered around may) -> got acquaintated with kanae during that period (kanae debuted (may 2nd), pubg collab in june 23th but no archive, first pubg collab with archive in july 17th where they also decide chronoir unit name) -> kuzuha's nijisanji debut (july 30th). also iwanaga-san is the COO (chief operating officer) not CEO!

@イネ For Kuzuha he doesn't really care bc his current character is the same as his "past" character, not like Coco for example who re-invented herself for Holo. Kuzuha's lore is basically the same from his independent days, he just uses a model and L2D tech given to him by Nijisanji. Also, he still links his old website from his independent days on his twitter so he definitely doesn't mind ppl knowing and talking about it

i was kinda wondering about that, you know, when a group has matching character lore? like with the ouma kingdom loud boys, how well did they know each other when that was all decided?

as far as i know, nijisanji already set up these characters & settings (might be added by the livers themselves later) and then opened auditions for people to 'play' these roles. so... it depends on their chemistry after they passed their auditions, i guess? is this what you meant?

It really depends, sometimes collaborative lore is entirely by livers after starting activity. Especially since many livers go through talent auditions (no predetermined avatar, if there is a predetermined concept that's a character audition instead). Sometimes predetermined lore is dropped, like with Rion and Hina

i'm sorry but i'm a bit confused by your question ;;; yes they let kuzuha's character from his individual vtuber days continue when debuting into nijisanji, however his and kanae's debut & lore have nothing to do with each other? they will be part of the same group (nijisanji gamers), so it makes sense that higher-ups would introduce them to each other even when they haven't debuted yet. i think their MVs' lore are just for their MVs, so they don't have any real connection to each other set from the start.

They sometimes have premade stuff, they sometimes don't and make the character based on the person who got in, in Gamers case (the group Kuzuha and Kanae debuted on) they all share zero lore with each other so is not like VALZ being all from the ouma kingdom.
