He's supposed to kill kuzuha with rot(the gun) but he didn't for some reason and after some time he died cause of some illness(or maybe cause he broke his duty so he's been cursed or something). Kzh owe him his life, and the regret of not being able to repay him before his death(and maybe more) made kzh waited for him decades after decades. Kanae probably said he'll be back. This is just my assumption from the hints on their MVs ANYWAY now I know why litigate dislike cat hhhhh
