Sakaguchi is so right about that feeling of "I'm THE warrior of light, I'm the chosen one". I remember once, I had become so familiar with myself at the centre of the story that when I saw a clip from someone else's playthrough, all I could think was "wait a minute, that's not my character". Funny how the experience is at once both so personal and yet so communal at the same time.

Super fascinating listen to these two men talk from a developer standpoint. Their thoughts on impacts of new technology and hopes for what it can do for RPGs. The interviewer did great too just letting the two just talk and only keep things on schedule.

orr it was planned monetaization of FFX again xD. i think they released the remaster around that time? maybe thats why they added ffx elements into SB as well. its really well planned business wise as well. we have ff4 next expansion, we had some ff6 in arr and sb
