蝴蝶酥 a locolized version of the French Les Palmiers (corrected as many comments down below), is from 国际饭店 Park Hotel, which was a landmark of 1930s on Huanghe Rd, near Metro Line2 People's Park station exit; On the same road, we got 佳家汤包 -- soup dumplings (a chain focused on 汤包 only, way better than the spot you tried "王家沙", since it's only famous for 汤团 the sticky rice balls with meat/sweet stuff);and 小杨生煎 - pan fried dumplings, another chain focused on 生煎 only),meanwhile,三两春,is the other best style. You should def try them next time visiting Shanghai.

蝴蝶酥在法语里叫les palmiers, mille feuille 是另外一种甜点。。。中文应该叫千层饼吧

@@conniec2291 mille feuille和意大利语的千层小蛋糕很像,应该是类似千层派的东西
My birth place, my parents’ hometown👍排骨年糕赤飯糕淹多鮮😋 The big cookie you ate we call elephant ear or butterfly cookie. it is all over Europe.Your Chinese writing is better than mine👍 But I speak 上海話🤓😎
Little bit of interesting information just FYI, native Shanghainese (老上海人) would never mention 小笼包 as 小笼包. They would either call it as 小笼馒头 or simply 小笼.
