G'day guys, I had to reshoot and re edit some parts because of sound problems, I may have doubled up on a couple things in this vid, sorry! Cheers 😅

First saw your Landcruiser 79 2024 videos. Now working my way through your older videos back to the present. Great stuff. Really like the work ute angle. So different to how you might set up and use a dedicated camping/tourer vehicle that is only used on weekends or holidays. There is so much of that on other channels already. Your channel is refreshingly different, specially that the stuff has to survive the corrugations and be as minimalist as practical.

Brilliant mate, thank you! Yeah I really love having a hybrid work/camping setup, it's incredibly easy to work out of and go camping at the drop of a hat, sometimes both at the same time. I also love keeping it relatively simple, thanks again mate, I'm glad your watching the older stuff and enjoying it 👍

I've looked at this one a number of times in BCF, I do like it even if its plastic, its a good price too n perfect for a weekender. Thanks for the review legend..

Great video.. Good review.. I don't know what happened to your 240 volt setup .. Unless you got yours a lot longer than 5 years ago .. I have had my engle Eclipse for over 8 years now . Got mine from Aussie disposal in Dandenong for $799 With cover included.. And also has 240 built in .. All cables where supplied.. The best thing with the 240 is its auto select . So you leave 12 volt plugged in and if it senses 240 it auto jumps to that .. I absolutely love this fridge .. Only issue I have had ..And it maybe wilhat you mention here ..Is that is can get a rattle in it if it's not sitting level .. But not a knock or anything .. Just a little rattle ..Also .. With the upright fridge there is a huge loss in your temp every time you open the door .. As cold air falls .. With your chest fridge this it almost not an issue at all .. But it would be a hell of a lot easier to access stuff in the upright.. There are pro and cone to all setups .. I have read a little bit with the draw type as well they can lose a lot of temp when you open them ..But not sure on that one .. Keep up the good honest reviews..

Cheers mate, they are a good fridge. I'm most likely putting a draw fridge in the canopy of my new Cruiser. That's the plan, I'll mount it on top of a set of draws. Just have to pick the right one because they are definitely not created equal!

Engel is KING; definitely better than ARB classic!

I do like Engel, but like I said in this video, have had broken compressor mounts.
