How to steam bend sheep wagon bows. This process works for bows, wheel felloes, sleigh runners, etc. All bending involves compressing wood fibers, while preventing stretching. Thanks for watching.

I've been woodworking since 1978, and that's the coolest table saw I've ever seen.

Watching the video took me back over 60 years to when I last saw timbers being steamed. They were being prepared for fitting to a Thames Skiff in a boatyard at Kingston in the suburbs of London. Great to see these old skills being practised. And yes . . . the saw!

Sir, I really enjoyed your video and narrative for this bending project. As for your old equipment, well I am of the opinion that old stuff is robust and therefore bullet-proof in good hands so it's good gear for sure. Many thanks for the enjoyment in observing your trade and skill set and for the time to share it with us. Gordon, Tumut, Australia

The circular saw you are using is an excellent versatile machine and if you could buy a modern one of that quality it would cost a fortune. The steam bending was interesting with a very good commentary. Thanks

I enjoyed your commentary. A very easy to follow description at a nice pace, with no distracting music to confuse the listener. Thank you for a most educational view into your bending procedure. There is little reason for me to know about your wagon hoops, however your way of describing your routine is like a good story with a happy ending. I spent today struggling with putting up mirrors in my house (eventually successfully), and it was nice to unwind with your program.

Really enjoyed watching the process. This country has emphasized college to young people for so many years and neglected to educate them about the many "skilled" jobs & occupations that one can go into. It's a privilege to what someone that is very skilled as you are doing jobs that many have never seen. This country should celebrate all the skilled individuals that we have.

Thank you so much for posting your videos. Awesome table saw! That massive clamp is great. I gotta think it's compression is very uniform, so much so that the boards are stretched in the process? You said the boards are 5/8th, after steam bending them are they still a true 5/8th?
