This looks so easy. I love my civic, you can really tell they designed it with easy maintenance in mind. The oil and trans fluid are equally simple to DIY if you have a way to lift the car. Even the alternator is just right there under the hood, lookin' all easily accesible n shit.

I will say, engine belt and tensioner a tad bit of a b*tch for something simple. Took me about an hour.

Great video. I have the same model with a 1.8 engine and auto. I have a coolant cracking/leaking issue with lower radiator hose. The coolant level is okay but i found residue around the hose. Any idea why it is happening?
@gotitdone8 ай бұрын
Check if in reality is not the actual metal bracket around the hose that got loose. With the hot and cold cycles, sometimes those hoses get loose. Reseat everything and check for leaks. Do u have to buy and use that red thing ????
@gotitdone5 ай бұрын
@@Damiann209 that is to siphon out the fluid in the reservoir. It is fine if you have another tool. Otherwise you will leave old fluid in the system. You were worried about the over spelled coolant at the end. But your entire engine is so dirty and looks like it has not been washed in years. Please wash the engine. You will feel the performance difference. Plus, it's a part of maintenance.
