You are not screwed with Bridgestone. The one that does fit is defective under federal, state, and Brifgestone warranties. Bridgestone should offer to replace the entire set of four (ordered as a set) since running a mismatched set creates a liability risk. Don't be a martyr, you paid for this warranty.

POR-15 is outstanding. They make kits for cleaning out and resealing old fuel tanks too. You have to use it EXACTLY as stated. If you over brush it, its not the same.

get the mesh support style chair and not the kind with foam padding.. i can spent 10-14 hrs a day doing CAD in mesh chair when a regular foam chair hurts my back after a few hours. and my mesh chair lasted me 15 years so they are worth the money.. it only broke because i slept in it the last 3 years haha.

If you put magnetic strips on the floor (like a long strip of refrigerator magnet material) it will stop the robo vacuum from going past that strip.

For your next project consider getting a mid-2000s era SAAB. The 2 L four-cylinder turbo engines are cool, but the 2.8 L six-cylinder has a lot of potential. They came with the top level trim Aero models. Put a simple stage one computer tune on it and it’s a 320 hp car. And they’re probably completely within your price range, although they are starting to get a little harder to find. Plus they are quirky, like you 🐵

Yeah, that aircraft stripper sucks in areas where its hot. Ive used it in Washington state and it worked great. Sucked using it on my bumper here in Texas. Which sucks because the bumper was the only paint damaged part on the jdm car.

You need to buy an old MHU-83 Jammer and use as a Transmission jack. They have 3 dimensional articulation so you could get it just where you need it :)

If the bead on that tire is still in tact, pull it back off and try to mount it again, but use Wurth Rubber Care, or Winzer Restore, instead of tire lube. Those chemicals let the bead pop on so much easier (call a normal tire around 30ish psi with tire goo, rubber care will set it at 15) Both of them are silicone free lubes, and on older wheels with some pitting even help the bead seal better, since it slightly softens the rubber mating surface. They're probably real similar to one of your trim restoring detail products. I haven't had tire lube in the shop for nearly 10 years, I only use that stuff. I've had several other shops bring in tires that they couldn't get to set, and they go on easy and set the heads fine with that stuff.

The tire is bad, 3 different people spent 2 hours on it including Charlie. It’s visibly deformed when you examine it closely.

@@SarahnTuned the braided steel cord in the bead isn't always perfect, but once they seat, it forms correctly. Just saying, in the thousands of tires I've mounted, including remounting used tires, I've never seen one that wouldn't seat. Some are a bitch though, which is made much easier with those chemicals. If nothing else, who ever is mounting them, will thank you for the tip and probably throw away their bucket of tire lube. If the issue were in the cords in the tread, it would be an problem, but there's no downside to a slightly deformed cord in the bead.
