Great filming. I really like the close ups explaining what each extra piece is that you had to to do for the conversion.

Thank you. I know the videos can be long, but these conversion videos are really for people that are interested in this particular kit or people that buy it in the future and need a visual instruction manual. Most likely my future videos will be more streamlined. Thanks for watching!

Just found the channel and subbed. Really cool build! I see it has taken a while, which is to be expected, so I'm glad it's finally rounding out for you. Was researching the LFX engine and found your video on FWD vs RWD engines. I was considering the RX-8 as a future swap chassis since they can be had so cheap, so I'll be checking out some more of your vids. Good luck!

Thanks. It has taken longer than normal just because I don't have a great place to do the work, and filming stuff adds a lot more time than I ever imagined. A lot of time is also spent trying to preplan for things so that I don't run into issues. With a couple guys and a good facility to work on the car, this project could be done within a few days I imagine. I looked at inexpensive RX8 chassis for years thinking about different projects that could be done wit them. I have been very impressed with the chassis you can get for such little money. There are also much cheaper engine swap solutions out there for people looking to stay on a really slim budget.

Oh I absolutely understand all of that. I have multiple projects that I'll be working on all year and they'll still need lots more work. I've mostly just been cleaning and organizing the garage the last few weeks. Filming, editing, researching, planning, all adds tons of time. Good luck with it, I'll keep an eye out!

When installing the LFX this way, did you have to remove the big frame rail studs that secure the front subframe to the chassis? Andrew says to do that when installing with a lift, but maybe it's not necessary here.

Keep at it brother! We just got 10" of snow dumped on us. Honestly can't wait until spring so I can begin work on my project 8.
@trackcarobsession6 жыл бұрын
Thanks. I definitely don't miss the snow. I used to live up in Michigan and moved south to get away from that stuff. Unfortunately, it looks like there is no escape from the cold this year. You have it much worse that is for sure.

Do the make the tone ring/ reluctor for the ls engine?
@trackcarobsession5 жыл бұрын
I don't believe Keisler does. That is where I got my kit form. You still use the Mazda tone ring, but it bolts onto an adapter. This website has a LS balancer with the tone ring built into it: www.ls1rx8.com/store/p14/Trigger_Wheel.html

Is the kit still in the development stage? I emailed them but haven't heard back.

Carlos, we did not receive your inquiry. Please email me directly @ keislerautomation@gmail.com. We have not had our official release yet, but we are working with clients to get kits sent their way! Great job, Kevin. We appreciate the effort you have placed into showcasing our products!
