I am facing the exact same problem, and I suffered a near fatal accident due to wheel lock up under hard braking, leading to grievous injuries and a long recuperation period. The RE service center chaps would simply reset the error and it would reoccur within a few minutes of riding. They even changed the accessories relays but the problem is still there. I hope to use your findings to convince them to look at the voltage overload, due to faulty RR unit. If RE knew about this issue, they never acknowledged it and it nearly killed me.

It is fatal for sure.. I am really sorry for the accident, brother.. hope you are on a path to recovery... although experienced RE service centre are aware of this issue... they might not have checked with the regional teams... please recover and get the rr unit changed... take care bud

Glad you are okay! How are you doing now and did you get it fixed? Probably could have sued them if you found out the problem since you took it for service and they ignored your concerns.

Yes I have recovered and I am back to riding. But as you know once we humans break, we never really go back to OEM condition. RE was not aware of this design flaw at that time, once they realised then they resolved the problem quickly. Oh I did threaten to sue them 😅. I also stocked RR units as that blows every 6K km. Finally I got rid of the int650 😢 peace of mind atlast

I also had same problem and it took them 2 months to fix that too I told them to change Regulator rectifier after searching on the internet which was a very tedious task. I visited service centre 4-5 times in two months for this problem and every time bike was kept for at least 4 days. Now my bike is fine and I am on tour to Rajasthan from Goa

I can so imagine this be a painful ordeal. As there nothing we can do without the dol tool... fortunately for me the guys in delhi had an idea so we were able to figure it out earlier, because I have got a voltage meter installed, which was jumping up and down with the revs. Any ways, you have nice ride to goa, don't take the amboli, sawantwadi route as it's in very bad shape. In my case RE is not helpful. I have been having misfiring issues and irregular RPM issues and sudden cutoff issues since month 1 of getting my INT650 back in Feb 21. Every time I take it to the service center they say it's probably overheating, you are over revving etc. I checked online, cleaned the relays and most connectors and issue went away for a few months. But then it would come back once in a while. Mostly the ABS light would come on and service center guys would say ABS sensor is dirty. And the issue would go away on its own after parking the bike overnight. The cycle continued and I am too scared to take it on long rides out of fear of getting stranded. Two weeks ago while I was on a ride from Shimla to Rohru (130km ride) the ABS light came on. But I learned to live with it as I learned progressive braking and anticipating the traffic, pedestrian and animal movements. But then the engine light came on too and my bike stopped. I waited 10 minutes, after that turned the ignition on and off again and again until lights went out, and started riding again. It worked for 40km more when the issue came back and then I had to climb 40km uphill and the bike refused to behave. There was loss of power beyond 4000rpm and it would turn off randomly even at below 2000rpm. I managed to get home late, very late. Next morning the issue was gone. I took it to a nearby service center, they checked the Error codes and... CLEARED THEM. Problem solved! Needless to say, on my next Sunday ride it gave up on me again. Went to the service center again and they gave up as well. Told me to take the bike 250km away to a different service center. It's impossible or expensive. I said it would be cheaper to just replace the RR unit. The bike's still in warranty but they wouldn't change it because they don't know what's wrong with the bike. So asked me to send the bike to a different service center where it would be parked for months because it's snow season. I asked them to change it anyway and I'd pay the full amount in advance. They refused, I tried to reason, they agreed reluctantly to diffuse me and never called me back since. RE wouldn't even sell me the part! So, I went to a local mechanic who said he'd get it in a few days. While RE gave me an excuse that it would take over a month. Never buying RE again!

I got the same issue with my bike and its been 15 days. First they said its the faulty speedometre and changed the Speedometre after 10 days and the issue cam back while I was riding back home, I returned the dealership and then they just reset the ECU and the issue came back again while I returned home. I feel the ABS is not working but they say its working fine. There's no ABS sound while braking and the bike skids too but they just say everything is fine. I watched your video and also some similar videos and contacted the dealership to tell if the issue is with the RR unit but they said the issue was just with the early units and it has been fixed with the new models and don't want to address it. They just asked me to leave the bike for couple of days and then they will check what the issue is. Well I am just frustrated with the service of RE. Their technicians even lack the basic knowledge and feel afraid every time I go to them for my bike's service.

Please put in a mail to royal enfiled support... they should help you out for sure.. Try reaching out to them in a detailed format. Sometimes dealerships do not do it because of stock unavailability.

I have had to replace my RR unit 2 times now in 5 years! Each time the symptoms were different. First time abs light/engine light would turn on after bike came to temp, bike would stall and not start. 2nd time new battery would drain below 10v. Both times replacing the RR charging unit for 1500rs/2400rs fixed the issue. What I have realized that they have placed the RR unit right under the engine where it heats up and gets damaged over time.

Hi, I am also facing the same issue and my bike jerks as well when jumping to higher RPM's. Were this jerks happens due to these errors. I was asked to replace RR unit and fuel injectors to resolve the issue. Please suggest if I need to replace fule injectors for my GT 650

Ask service center to check it with the DOL tool, to assess the situation and codes. This rectifier creates all sorts of issues. Additional fog lights also take a toll if used for longer durations...

I am facing the same issue. Along with abs and engine lights turned on, my entire odometer lights goes off randomly while riding. The indicators and headlights keep functioning well. Apart from it I am also facing missing and power loss while accelerating. I had the entire fuel system checked and cleaned but the problem is still persisting. Is it possible that RR unit is faulty and causing all this?

I am facing the same issue where the bike shuts down after some time of riding randomly. When ever the check engine light comes up it always throws ABS warning light also together. After couple of days it goes off. During the time when MIL and ABS warning lights are on my interceptor can run but heats up a bit unusual than expected. I went to service station to diagnose this issue with their DOL tool and got the error code [ P2304 - Cylinder 2 Ignition Coil Primary Control Circuit High ]. The service team simply cleared it and handed the bike over to me. I again went there when the error came and again they cleared it and said it is normal in RE motorcycle. Nothing to worry. Counting on your video buddy. With this error code I am getting should I proceed changing the ignition coils / change the RR unit ? Please do help

ABS MODULATOR IS DIFFRENT unit i think. befoe changing teh ABS modulator, change recitfier unit and check if BAS is functioning properly. most of the times a faulty Recitfier over loads the sensors

This must be a shorting issue.. but you must start by checking it in the DOL tool at the workshops.. it can be an issue with the rr unit too..

I started with the same problem. I let it go and the battery was completely discharged. I changed the voltage regulator and after 2 months I have not had any problems. But everithing started with the ABS light ON and the tacometer light OFF when the engine bike was HOT

Most probably there is kachra in the fuel pump. Or spark plugs would have gone bad...

So, error hasn't come back as of now... Rr units go bad bracuse of the placement of this device.. its located at a place in the bike where it's not cooled properly, as there is no direct air flow..... in many cases water also ruined it because it's placed low in the bike..

Nahi, that won't happen. Cold start issues are usually because of dirt in the system or bad spark plugs or even a chocked air filter.

This is a tell tail sign of rectifier malfunctioning. It's not happening because of heat, it happening because the rectifier is not able to handle the electrical load made by the engine/ alternator at higher rpms...

Hi Guys, I too am facing the issue with meter light , abs and engine light. Apart from it I am also facing jerking and missing problems at random rpms. I have gotten everything checked from fuel pump to fuel filter to fuel tank and also got throttle body and fuel injectors cleaned. The problem started to persist again. Is it because of the rectifier ? Because this is something they have yet to check

It is a rectifier problem, but just to be sure get the bike checked at re with DOL tool installed. A tell-tail sign is when rpm will be increased the voltage will also increase. If an altimeter is connected to the battery, you shall observe an increased electrical load of upwards of 13.1 . And this overloads all sensors.. rectifier's job is to stabilize the electrical load for the bike.

It can be because of the rectifier unit. Must get this checked at the service center. They usually attach a tool to the bike to assess this situation.

Must be the relay or the Abs fuse.. have you check those? Additionally is the sensor in the right place, check... Then check out the rr unit..
