@@connerrolofson1585 It really looks quite similar. The only EOT I have seen in real life was on U-995, a german submarine from WW2 which is now a museum. (similar to the one here which is seen in a splitsecond here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/eXq0doeMaJWSq5o [btw one of the best u-boat movies ever]).

The one at 3:35, what was it used for and... Ok, I saw another one with similar texts at 4:30. So it's called a docking telegraph. Used to send commands from the bridge to men at the winches and such, that makes sense. It would nice to have one at my TV sofa with signals to the kitchen signalling Beer, Pizza, Quiet etc. Problem is the orders would not be acknowledged.
