Spectacular scenery, indeed. I'd just need to rig up a parachute or ejection seat. We have some shelf roads through nearby Sierra mountains, which I enjoy after being done crossing.

Nice video, Grand Cherokee wheel base is no good for serious off roading, shorter the better. I have a 15 Cherokee TH with 143k never had and issues. Nice run, beautiful scenery.

It certainly is great scenery out there for sure! Saying the WK2 is no good due to wheelbase is like saying the Gladiator can't do anything because its wheelbase is too long. I've seen many JT's walk up soo many obstacles that 2-doors, and 4-doors struggled hard with.

Did 1/2 of the Alpine Loop last September in my wife's 2021 Wrangler Unlimited Sport Altitude (Engineer pass, California gulch, Hurricane pass). Plan to go back to the area next year -need to do Engineer pass. Would like to do Imogene as well as it is close by. Need to decide whether to take her Wrangler or my '21 Grand Cherokee Trailhawk.

It is a beautiful area! My advice, get to the sign, take your pictures then come back down the same side. The backside is just a long gravel road, then another long gravel road on Cinnamon to come back.

I have a 2020 Trailhawk and in slow traffic the Transmission seams to slip and slam……. Did you ever experience this with yours JEEP says drive it till it blows up. Does not make me feel confident to venture far off road anyone else have this happen. Thanks for your replies.

I have not had transmission issues. Its good until its not, 🤷, whether that is tomorrow years from now...nothing worrying about it will solve. Just live it up man!
