Went through all that without massive tires, anodized racing shocks, nat geo equipment racks, little ladders to climb to the roof top, huge LED Luxor strength light bars, 48,000 pound bumper winches, reinforced steel front and rear bumpers, red tow hooks and loops for heavy recovery, gas cans hanging off the bumper. How could you possibly do it? Oh just leave it stock and have fun. Its designed and tested in Japan under the world truck standards. NATO used chassis with a stylish body and a gas engine. I love my TRD off road. Best by far here in the state's. As always great videos!!! Best no b/s channel showcasing a great driver with a great 4X4 and the best videographer.

Nice! I enjoy your videos, just your 4R in action, not 20 minutes of you making coffee and trying to sell products, haha. These trails look amazing, I've seen other videos of these and I really want to get out there with mine. You did a really good job of showing how sketchy the shelf roads are, especially that one spot on Black Bear. Looks like those KO2s are working out well for you! I was thinking of getting a set for mine, but I've read some bad reviews from other 4Runner owners. On the other hand, for every bad review I hear I hear a rave review. I was actually going to pick some up a couple weeks ago, but it seems like everyone's out of stock. I have a video suggestion, as I was watching this I noticed that you seem to pick really good lines, even through some of these more technical places. Maybe a version of this with you doing a voice over describing some of your techniques and how you pick lines would be interesting. There was one particular spot where I thought you were really smooth, if you had panicked and hit the brakes you probably would have ended up on your lid, your passenger rear cam pretty high up off the ground, but you just rolled with it. Good technique!
@jimerinrose62354 жыл бұрын
Thanks! Personally I really like my KO2's. I'm on like my third set with this truck. I buy new ones every year before our big trip and the old ones sell pretty good on Facebook. They wear really good, get great traction in all conditions, and can take a beating. As far as picking lines, in the video I usually pick the ones I think will look the most dramatic. Going down hill, one's with a good front tire drop off on one side are the best for opposite side back tire lift "Toyota wave" If it feels like too much just turn the wheel opposite of the tire lift and let off the brake, it will drop right down. Same with front wheel lift going up a hill, a good hole on either rear side will give you a nice front tire lift. If it gets sketchy just let off the throttle and don't hit the brake until it drops completely down, then just lightly to stop. Hope this helps. My wet and wild video has a lot of these lifts.

@@jimerinrose6235 thanks for the reply! Yeah, there were a few times where I thought you took a more difficult line, but I just figured it was for the challenge. @jimerinrose62352 жыл бұрын
Thanks!😉👍 I put a new set of OME shocks on at 100k None were leaking they were just a little weaker than new. Mediums up front are only if you have a front bumper and winch. It will ride horribly stiff on a stock rig. They do not sell soft rear just medium for loaded weight and if you need to tow. I haul dual Jetski’s and a car hauler behind mine all the time it’s a great set up. I can’t say enough how much better it is from the stock suspension.
