I raced superbikes and I LOVE the intensity of the (wo)man-machine interface. It's so much more personal and complex than any other motorized vehicle. My R1 had 165 hp at 410 lbs!! I had a near-stock Suzuki GSX-R750 that would do 0-60 mph in 3.2 sec. Therefore, the 911 S/T is the car for me. (Pause while I look up the sticker price....)

You two have chemistry - great post. May I direct your viewers to Chris Harris' comparison review of the Aston Martin Vantage S with the 911R, and his comparison review of the 911R with an old Peugeot Rallye. Jeremy Clarkson's Top Gear review of the 997.1 Carrera S is also very special to me. Once one kneels at the Alter that is naturally aspirated, manual 911 - their car crusade is complete .
@fwebe287110 ай бұрын
I have to say, i don't like shorter gearing. I would be perfectly fine with this car reaching 100 km/h in first gear, so you don't have to shift for most use cases. Don't having to shift improves the aspect of a connected driving experience, as you only have to use the throttle to accelerate the car, similar to electric cars. For most road cars i prefer 100 km/h in second, and 50 km/h in first, with first just beeing used for starting off or pulling loads. Especially if you have more than enough power, shorter gearing shifts the whole system towards the traction limit, which usually is no fun to be at on public roads. I like to compare this to motorcycles, which often enough are capable of reaching even higher speeds in first gear and no one complains about it. On top you get more gears to fit for noise and fuel reduction at different speeds, which is a benefit as well.

Really appreciate it! I can't speak for Jason, but I do not consider myself a journalist (content creator, automotive media, car KZbinr all apply). Journalists generally have separation between themselves and the ad/sales portion of their businesses (MotorTrend, Car and Driver, etc). Since I'm a one man show, I do all the tasks, which blurs the ethical lines of journalism, hence why I say I'm not. But we all have our biases, I try and keep things as objective as possible - subjectivity is where you have to be careful, easiest to simply avoid!
