he is not considering carrier power but expressing side band power in term of carrrier power and modulation index!! so its side band power only!

@Ahmed Adam You were wrong, first sir is calculating the power saved by the SSB-SC signal, not utilize. So in Ssb sc power utilized is one sb, so rest of them (carrier + another sb) is Saved.
