Engine of Metron North, ACMU
The ACMU started out in service shortly after World War Two and lasted up until 2004. They started out in the hands of a railroad who couldn't afford them. The New York Central, which ordered the cars to displace their original EMU's which entered service in 1909. There were soon more orders to come. The long island railroad also ordered a car in this series. The cars survived through Conrail, and Penn central and made it well into the metro north era, being retired in 2004 with the arrival of the M7.
