The F59PHs are extremely underrated, i love these locomotives, the triclopes cab is unique and underrated and see these fly down the tracks in southern California is just so satisfing

My all time favorite engine ever built. Their K5LA's were just amazing whenever they were allowed to scream as these iron workhorses thundered down the line. The F125 will never hold a candle to these classic engines.

As of today, 861, 856, 868, and 873 are still in service, and apparently, all PHRs, 851, 852, 856, 861, 868, 870, and 873 are supposedly getting rebuilt again sometime in the future however idk if it is confirmed, but 870 is apparently in Taylor Yard

You forgot to mention that early on, they had Ohio Brass Air Whistles.

Yes, they did, but footage is really rare. I think there's only one known video of an F59 with an Air Whistle, which was of 873, but I don't think it's still up on KZbin. I have it downloaded myself, though.

They are rebuilding the F59PHs to Tier 4 standards. 851, 852, 856, 861, 866, 868, 869, 870, 871 and 873 are already in service. (P.S., 871 was not sold to NCDOT.
