Sounds a little quiet without the shape button engaged, I would just leave that on. What a great amp. I was so happy to discover that there's a 50 watt version. All I need is a job. 😭

@@RavenWinterz Yeah, there is a good push in some of the mid frequencies that makes the sound feel louder as it is, great for Solo's or if you like the overall Mid-Sound 👍🏻

Had both, the Artist is just better, tighter, more Mesa Mark-like. The Fireball has a bloated lo-mids thing, both great but the Artist IS the one

Und ja, Zeit...du glaubst gar nicht WIE lange das mittlerweile dauert um so ein 10-15 Minuten-Video zu erstellen das auch einigermaßen nach was aussieht und sich gut anhört. Cool review Gerd I have a custom SE/FE , owned several Invaders and XXL quads but I’ve not played a Artist Edition so far. I’m seriously considering getting one as I’ve been chatting with Engl hq about a custom version. 🤟🏼

@ I’m intrigued by the idea that it somewhat resembles Mesa Mark tonally. My first artist endorsement head was a Mesa Coliseum 300 MKIII when I was a kid. If have the opportunity to get your hands on either an MI Amplification Megalith beta or Iron Duke V2 ..do so , they’re killer although extremely difficult to find but not impossible. I’m endorsed by them ( was ) and Engl as well.

Finally, the Artist. I had the Fireball, Artist, and Special Edition side by side for months, picked the Artist. It's just a tighter amp. Almost like a Mesa Mark, but easy to dial in

I don't like amps below 50 watt due to headroom/dynamics/resonance from a 280 watt 4/12 cabinet. I have the Revv generator 120 MKII, Marshall JVM410h & DSL100h, Engl Savage MKII, Krank Rev1 Plus, for 100 &120 watts, And for 50 watts I have both EVH 6l6 & EL34 stealths. So i'm looking at the Engl 100 watt powerball, Oh I have the Synergy powerball module & 7 others & it's sound's killer through the different power amp sections of the amps list above.

Ich hab den Artist Edition 100 und den Savage 100 MKII. Der Artist ist ein sehr unterschätzter Amp in Metalkreisen aber kann echt ein bööööse klingen,wenn richtig eingestellt.Thrash,Death,Black ist damit überhaupt gar kein Problem.Im Proberaum bei vernünftiger Lautstärke klingt der Amp echt saugeil.klingt für mich wie ne echt gelungene gute Mische aus nem Mesa MarkV und nem Marshall JCM800,aber irgendwie „more refined voiced“.Unser Rythmus-Gitarrist spielt den Fireball 100,der wieder anders klingt.Ich finde die ergänzen sich sehr gut.

Da ist aber noch Luft nach oben! Die Präsentation mit den Reglern hättest du dir sparen können. Schmeichelt dem Amp gar nicht! Der Amp ist einer der meist unterschätzten Topteilen auf dem Markt. Ein richtiger Alleskönner mit Ei. Und das für kleines Geld! Die werden bei Kleinan... teilweise hinterhergeschmissen. Wer ihn richtig böse klingen lassen möchte (mehr Lowend), klemmt noch ein Booster vorne ran.
