Not just the councils it's the boom of internet shopping cashless shops people going for the easy option of just sitting at home getting deliveries, the high street is gone now just the odd charity shop.

Greed, I’m afraid. I was equally shocked when I visited many of my favorite towns having been at sea for a long time. Landlords extortionate rents plus online shopping has killed high streets all over the country. Welcome to modern life.
