You’re right! And actually the bed ended up being so comfortable. We honestly don’t really mind about small spaces as we spend most of the time outside anyway ^_^ I loved being above the Italian restaurant because it smelled like fresh Pizza in the evenings. 🍕

Yes! I would do it in the spring or summer. The icy roads are dangerous, defintely DO NOT drive in the winter, winds are so, strong. When I was there 8 tourists decided to drive and wound up head on collision 2 died. :o( But the food is so good!@@RockyandKimball

@@RockyandKimball yes I have been there. I was fortunate in that I was able to travel Europe extensively in my early 30s after I was in the Marines. But it’s been years ago, one of the reasons I am loving your vlog 🙂❤️

@@RockyandKimball my favorite country is down in southeastern Europe, Greece. That is quite a distance from England. I love Paris of course. And I have great memories of being in Copenhagen Denmark too. And Berlin, love it too. Of course when I was there Berlin was two enclaves East and West. It is very different today

Hey Guys!! So interesting to see how it works to drive across the channel via the train! The waffles looked pretty amazing. I'm curious since you seem to use AirBNB often, have you had pretty good luck with them in Europe? I've heard horror stories and yet, you guys seem to be doing ok with them. (Although this one was soooooo tiny!) Hope you both are well - can't wait for your next video!

@@RPLstudiocity Hey Daisy! So glad you got a kick out of the video. It was so bizarre driving through the channel for the first time. We’ve had really good luck with air bnb. We always choose places that are highly rated with lots of reviews and that’s never failed us yet! We must have stayed in at least 15 places. Hope you’re doing fabulous!! 👨‍❤️‍💋‍👨

Next time you might want to consider high speed rail all the way. Way more convenient than a car in all those car resistant cities, way faster than a car, and no worries about parking, like at all. And of course, no traffic worries whatsoever either. In western Europe, if you're travelling the major cities, high speed rail is really worth considering. It is sooo convenient and sooo comfortable. 24:25 Urban planning sidestep: There is no fixing traffic patterns. They've been trying to fix traffic in brussels since the 80s. There simply is too much traffic and nothing will "fix" that kind of traffic. Only way to "fix" it is to provide more, better and faster alternatives and to get people out of their cars. Like getting tourists to use high speed rail instead of driving into a dense already congested city, only adding to the already heavy traffic. *Ahum*

We’ve been chatting about doing more of that when we come back to mainland Europe. Unfortunately it would have been tricky during our last trip as we were on the road for a month and I was also collecting props for my regular job here in the UK. Seemed to make more sense to pack it all in the car vs shipping each time. But there’s only so much older cities can do with their roads. It was only a minor inconvenience anyway. We really loved Brussels and if keeping it the way it is means a little congestion, that’s just the way it is. Are you from the Brussels area by chance?
