I remember it well too. How well we performed in the semi final against NZ just to be blown away by this monster SA scrum and incredible line speed in defence! You were class that day. The forwards were just too hard to handle and tries just put the nails in the coffin.

Well you should atleast watch the first 16 minutes because it took that long for the ref to finally penalize the English for collapsing the scrum after doing so atleast 4 or 5 times with the ref watching. But after that he was better, but no way perfect. Being a nzer I watch for the cheating

Sinkler was definitely a big loss. As a Bok supporter I was sad to see him go so early, if we're going to win big it should be against the best opposition. The players are going to have to be very careful of this at the RWC23, any one of these could have had a dramatic impact on the game: @ 00:30 May takes Vermuelen in the air. @02:47 Beast seals off. Could be supporting his weight but looks very low. But at that Ruck, Tuilangi looks to be offside. @08:31 Kolbe clearly knocks on into Farrel. Immediately followed by a high tackle from Itoje. @08:52 Mapimps has his knee on the turf. Tackle complete, must release. @15:27 Faff is clearly offsides. @16:12, Etzabeth holding on and Bongi lucky not to be carded for that head contact. @23:50, Laws knocks the ball into a SA player before recovering. Knock on. @25:32 Obstruction on PSDT @38:54, Tuilangi knee on the ground while still in contact with the Tackler. Tackle complete, 2 movements. @41:37 Laws goes twice, 2 movements. Putting in a perfect performance as a referee in real time with that kind of crowd pressure is impossible. Best one can hope for is consistency, no howlers and that the 50/50 calls at least fall both ways. I think the team of officials did fine in this match.
