I used to listen to this everyday, years back when I was at the lowest point of my life and the way you sang it really portrays the emotion that the song is portrayed atleast to me, years later which is, well, now ig, life hit me with a huge setback that I really want to give up this time. Yet, I'm still clinging, trying to hold whatever I can hold even when I think it's pointless. Been having nights where I just have emotional withdrawals and remembering about the things I think I could have done more. Today I stumble again with this version of the song, which I really whole heartedly resonate. Thank you again for singing this, it really does soothe the pain at the very least, a reminder that even if everything seems really impossible, you just try to claw your way, surviving. ngl "wondering if you're still you after all you've gone through" really hits LMAO.. but again, thank you for this English Cover, it means alot Maybe the next time this pop out on my algo again years later, I get to update in good spirits, but as for right now, its a source of strength to keep going.

Tokyo ghoul was the first anime I ever watched a few years ago. I was always aware how poor the anime adaption was but I still loved the show regardless. I only just recently read the manga and I’m glad I did cause it was so much better and everything made more sense. Came back to this song after the final chapter as this is my favourite song from the anime soundtrack and this song fits with kaneki very well. Good cover, I honestly like it more than the original song.

I love Tokyo Ghoul because I relate with Kankei way too much. I love this song and Unravel for the same reasons. For some reason I looked st this cover after so long on this day. Four days into me taking antidepressants for the first time after admitting to my mother that I've been depressed for eight years. Eight years since my father left, when I was 13. Depressed since when I was 2 and my parents started to hate each other and taught me not to believe in myself. I only spoke up two weeks ago because I couldn't take holding everything in because "guys don't cry" anymore. I couldn't take faking laughter and smiles. I couldn't take releasing it all every two months because that became every month, then few weeks, then every week until it was every day when I got home from classes. Like Kaneki, I came to college wanting to die. I made it through two years, made my first friend ever and lost them, I fell in love (like an idiot) and talked myself out of it. Out of fear of being like my adulterant, abusive father. I didn't want to hurt others so I just let myself be hurt. Sound familiar? Today, I can't feel sad--this medicine doesn't allow it--but I know I want to be. All day I felt like shy because I couldn't let a single tear out or feel anxious. This song reminded me why I want to be better. Just like how Unravel showed me I want to be helped and recognize that I wasn't alright. Thank you, Jayn. You don't understand how it affects me to hear my damning thoughts in such a melodic voice. It really helps me wake up.

Same with me. Or very similar at least. In songs and covers like these, even when I know they weren't written for me or about me, I like to pretend that they are. Because I find my voice in them, and I use music as a shield that keeps away depression and anxiety for a few minutes. When I listen to music, I find myself able to cry. When I listen to music, I am more likely to cry, because for once, not everything feels so... flat. I not only my voice in music, but also myself. Just when I think there is no purpose in anything anymore because nothing makes me feel anything, good music reminds me who I am. And to me, there is nothing greater to to feel emotions again.

It’s been five years and I found my way to this song again when I realized I need to stop feeling like its hopeless. It’s hard to change for the better but its the only real option. I’m surprised I got any likes for me comment at all but I hope it helped someone else decide to keep going. If you have a bad life it’s hard to want to continue but I want to tell myself that I deserve a happy ending if the start was so sad. I used to dislike the way ;re ended and preferred if the story stopped at TG. I think its because I thought it was unrealistic that someone like me could be happy. I thought a beautiful tragedy was better. I am not a huge fan of ;re but the ending is what Ken deserves. Naruto and Ken are both happy good fathers. I need to work to get the chance to be the same.
