Eng is my 3rd language and i surprisingly reached the last level! Tbf i did get my B2 certificate 3 years ago and C2 certificate 2 years ago so that's why i was able to reach the last level but still, good to know that i can understand Eng easily. Though when it comes in having to talk to somebody Eng (e.g asking a stranger for directions), my Eng is thrown out of the window lol but that's because i have anxiety and i'm not used to talking Eng to random strangers

Even if I didn’t know some specific words, the context really helps you to understand them anyway 😉 I’d say that I’m between C1/C2 in listening/comprehension, I guess that humour and idioms might be the hardest elements to grasp so I know what I have to study harder to perceive nuances!

My level Is between C1 and C2. Honestly I Always had Better marks in the listening and Reading comprehention tests. Also in my university all our english classes are held entirely in english so that the input Is High. The only cons Is that web use more academic english rather than every day speech 😭😭

Hi. I like your videos a lot as they give a glimpse at real-life spoken English. I've got three annotations / questions: In the A1.2 part, at 1:11, you use "loads", which, according to the OALD is B2. 3:58 - Isn't "Never have I" (inversion) very formal and do native speakers use it frequently? You certainly use inversion to put emphasis on the desire to get home. Then you use "so bad". Shouldn't you use "badly"? "Bad" would be informal / colloquial, right? At 4:05 you use "incredibly slow", which, if I'm not mistaken, is colloquial, too. It should be "incredibly slowly" (taxi is driving slowly; incredibly referring to slowly). The overall question I have here: Do English speakers often use the adjective instead of the adverb and is it perceived as a deviation from the grammatically correct form? Hope you make more videos with everyday spoken English.

Normally a native speaker would use “I have never wanted to get back so badly before”. Although it sounds a bit weird, his sentence seems correct and “badly” normally would not be used. Also, “incredibly slowly” would never be used in that sentence (idk why but it feels wrong). In that sentence, i would use “incredibly slow”. Btw, I am a native born english speaker for 20 years.

As a non-native English teacher, I'm struggling to find the right balance between spoken English and grammatically correct English. As a German, I'm most likely at risk of failing to notice grammatical errors that foreign language German learners are meant to learn from their textbooks.

Context is key when learning a language. If you don’t know a word by itself you just look at the rest of the sentence or maybe even the entire text. That usually explains quite a lot. :)

As far as listening goes i can easily handle C2 and more, but it is a different story putting together sentences at this level without stuttering because i am in constant fear that i would mess up. Guess being an introvert does not help.
