i used to waste lots of time searching for english videos everywhere in different channels on youtube. Most of the time i ended up being upset because i never got what i looked for.but on your channel,its everything i need.now i spend my time in your channel and i go back deep pockets if u know what i mean. One thing i want to mention rachel. This kind of videos are more practical and easy to learn because we can see what we are learning. I want u to go out and teach us practically about different things. So we can see and learn. Its really helpful. I watched a video of your about the directiom in the kitchen.and u went there and showed us everything. I learned it so quickly. Thank you for your good work.

Wow, Rachel, that's really great. I learned most of the words I need related with cars in half an hour. I would also like to see second video as an extension for this one. In my first days in the US, I had difficulty in explaining what I need, during servicing my car, even in communicating with the sales person in a gas station. It's also good if you add frequent words in reporting car accidents. I can't tell you how much difficult these things are as foreigner in the first days. I always watch your KZbin videos and bought the English course too, they are really helpful. Please keep the good work!

Thank you so much. This is the most professional and correct way to teach and learn vocabulary and pronunciations. Please continue because I'm sure that at least 60 or 70 percent of people who immigrated to the U.S. don't know the name of these things and that is a number about 30 million to 50 million of the U.S. Population or even more. Shotgun came from the old west days on stagecoaches, you'd have the driver and the passenger seat would handle the shotgun.
@richardwebb23485 жыл бұрын
Farinelli & Senesino? The expression "riding shotgun" is derived from "shotgun messenger", a colloquial term for "express messenger", when stagecoach travel was popular during the American Wild West, and the Colonial period in Australia. The person rode alongside the driver. The first known use of the phrase "riding shotgun" was in the 1905 novel 'The Sunset Trail' by Alfred Henry Lewis. The phrase was popularized in the 1939 movie 'Stagecoach'. Wikipedia

I don't understand, what Do you mean *shotgun?
@rachelsenglish6 жыл бұрын
Hi! The term "shotgun" means to ride in the front passenger seat of a vehicle. Apparently, it comes from the phrase "shotgun messenger", which was a name used for the person who rode alongside the driver when stagecoach travel was popular during the American Wild West and the Colonial period in Australia.
