I do like listening to music when I read. I do keep the volume down low, just enough to hear but not enough to distract.

I couldn't agree more with what Anna said. First, when I was having the flu, I sustained a severe headache. Nonetheless, I tried to read or finished my English project, yet I couldn't focus. Second, put something distracted away from ourselves. Besides, make sure it is turned off or silent. From another resource that I get, a way to concentrate on heavy tasks is by doing it right after waking up, at this time your energy is in 100 percent mode. You're gonna concentrate more. *Feel free to comment and rephrase my sentence. Thanks

I remember when I was struggling with concentration at home, I would go to my favorite coffee shop with my books and studying materials, order a cup of latte and study/read for several ours with full focus. I refused to buy a smartphone back then solely because of this fear of getting distracted. The noise of the coffee shop worked perfectly as a background. The pandemic changed that, of course; however, I discovered that I can concentrate really well at home if I'm not falling into the rabbit hole of KZbin first thing in the morning.

I love to read than anything other. It gives me pleasure, reduces my anxiety..thanks for these productive ticks🥰

Thanks for these useful tips, Anna! To keep the focus while reading, I think it helps to leave the cell phone with the screen turned over (towards the table) and mute the sound. While I'm working, if there's too much noise surrounding me, I put a headphone and listen to calm music that I pick up from KZbin or Spotify.

Hello ️I have a frustrating experience. Not knowing where to begin or hitting a plateau can feel demoralizing and make it hard to hit the books and study like you know you should…Having friends from other cultures makes me more creative. In fresh ways about space and how people create their own world and environment. It is best way to connect between creative thinking and cross-cultural relationships.

I am a monolingual native English speaker attempting to acquire Polish even though my wife is from L'viv (strange, huh?). Just wanted to say that your English skills are outstanding and your American accent is excellent. I would think you were from the midwest of USA if I didn't know where you were from. Very impressive. You did have one slip up (my God only one!) and that is the pronunciation of the word "chaos". The British and Americans pronounce it the same so you can research either one. The "o" is pronounced like the Ukranian "a" and is drawn out a little bit. You pronounced the "cha-" part correctly. Your pronunciation of chaos sounded like the word "case" with a southern drawl :) Very good tips regarding reading. Reading Slavic books for me is tough, since the highly disciplined English word order is missing. Have to replace the word order with internalizing word endings - tough to do. My wife has pity on me!!!!

Anna, I enjoy your presentation, speech and pronancation! They are really brilliant! Thanks a lot! Honestly speaking I use your videos, when I'm trying to refresh my skills in interpretation. They help me to immerse myself in the atmosphere of foreign language. You may laugh, but I'm a translator who due to his job has to translate a heap of thechnical documents and very seldom I need to translate orally. Maybe you can prepare a video for those who want to quickly regain their communication skills in English. I'll be very glad! 🤗
