Harmonising vocals takes some time to train your ear, start with picking a root note and then try to sing the third fifth and seventh on top of it, don't get discouraged, one day it'll just click and you'll have it.

Since you are on the big push road to insanity may i suggest 2 songs who you should react to next. Bongo bong cover of Manu Chao, and their original song Swan song.
