Brzęczyszczykiewicz Poles just slit apart to one well known word "Buzz" / "Brzęczy" and ad the very well known ending which formats surnames from random words. We need to start the story with the fact that once upon a time, Polish surnames were changed by genders and status: the husband had a different one, the wife had a different one, the bachelor and the unmarried daughter also had a different one. The core was the same but the endings were different. Then everything changed, it was heading towards uniformity, which still hasn't happened. Still core polish surnames are recognizing genders. But after years the bachelor and maiden surnames disappeared. Brzęczyszczykiewicz sounds like the bachelor name of the Brzęczyszczyk family, The Buzzer family. A daughter would be named Brzęczyszczykiewiczówna, and mother Brzęczyszczykiewiczowa

This particular tongue-twister is only a tongue-twister for non-Polish speakers. It is easy for Poles because the words are made of parts, the meaning of which is easily understood.

Z racji swojej "aryjskiej urody" zagrał również schwarzcharakter Hermann Brunner w świetnym polskim serialu wojennym "Stawka większa niż życie". And the best part is that the SS officer was played by a Polish actor - Emil Karewicz. Because of his "Aryan beauty," he also played the schwarzcharacter Hermann Brunner in the excellent Polish wartime series "Rate More Than Life." P.S. The most important thing is that you know how to pronounce the name Grzegorz correctly, it is a very popular name in Poland. Also try to practice the diminutives: Grześ, Grzesiu and Grzesiek. In Poland we also have popular "Grześki" wafers (this is the plural). It may come in handy when you want to buy something at the grocery store.

Just gotta get that ę right ;) Also, Grzegorz Brzęczyszczykiewicz isn't that much of a tongue twister as it's quite a common thing in Polish to have these digraphs (a combination of two letters representing one sound, as in ph and ey) appear next to one another. It is one of the funniest scenes from Polish comedy. Still super funny, although it's an older film. The actors were really great. And not only this scene, but the whole film was funny. In this scene, his real name was Franek Dolas, but he deliberately, after being caught by Germans, made up such a difficult name. And You did quite well, especially at the beginning when You started saying this in smaller parts. It was really not bad. By the way, it's is not a tongue twister for us, only for foreigners - for Polish people it's easy to say this. It's nice that You want to learn some Polish.

I think the method of breaking down the words into syllables is the best. You can then practice the pronunciation of each syllable separately and finally join them together. Now you are getting ready to another tongue twisters 😜

I recommend watching the whole movie, not just this one scene. The scenes with the English officers are equally funny. In general, the entire film is full of funny scenes referring to stereotypes about various nationalities. Sometimes it's cringy, but always fun :)

If that makes you feel a little better I know English well enough and I have no bloody idea how to pronounce the name of "worcestershire" sauce. 1:05 In Polish we do not have an equivalent of the English verb "to type", so when we describe the act of typing we say "pisać na maszynie" which, when translated verbatim to English, makes no sense (to write on a machine). "The machine" is, in this case, a typewriter. In this scene the Gestapo officer asks Hans "to type Grzegorz's name directly".

3:40 Imho was the best try, also "ę" is like "e+ł" and "ł" (crossed L) in Polish is similar to "wh" sound in "whisper" but a lot of poles pronounce it like regular "e" so no worries there, you did really good, also like somebody already mentioned last "Łękołody" was pretty accurate. Brzęczyszczykiewicz fairly well done (above the global average for sure,) again you've made me cry with laughter😅😁😄😂 but some polishing needed, mainly on the vowels first syllable: "ę"- this is a nasal sound second and third syllable:- "y", I don't know how to explain it , but you r"y" sounds like something between Polish "y" and "i" , it's a little to "soft" the last syllable: the opposite than in syllables 2 and 3 - here Polish "i" should be more like English "ee" the last sound again to "soft", it sounds like something between Polish "cz" and "ć" Keep on trying, one day it will be perfect 😂🤣🤣 I will not analyze the address, too challenging for a rainy Friday afternoon.😆

Rob, it would be easier for you if you try to repeat syllables first just from hearing instead of reading them. When you see letters, it is more confusing. Also, sometimes proper dividing into syllables makes it easier, like Brzę-czysz-czy-kie-wicz instead of Brzę-czy-szczy-kie-wicz, because it is easier to pronounce '...czysz-czy...' than '...czy-szczy...' and you have to put more effort to say 'szcz' (shch, like in 'HuSH CHild!) in one syllable. Anyway, you are doing great. Keep going and don't give up!

Brze-czy-szczy--kie--wicz (I repeated it several times before I wrote it, because I have been living outside Poland too). So this word should be divided into 5 syllables, not 4. You said this word in 4 syllables and it came out too fast. I remember this movie and I laughed until I cried. I completely forgot obout his place of birth: Chrza-szczy-ze-wo-szy-ce (6 syllables) Le-ko-lo-dy (4 syllables). I think it will help you. Good luck.
