Good evening sir, as per my previous commitment, today I watched this editorial session as your organization usually closed on Saturday and Sunday respectively. Firstly, wish you Happy Teachers Day! ■ I am extremely lucky to have you as a teacher in my life. I will never forget your gentle smile! Motivational quote is “A person becomes 10 times more attractive not by their looks but by their acts of kindness, love, respect, honesty, and loyalty they show.". Editorial is concerning to migrant workers who are stranded in various places of the country. In editorial - Lockdown has been imposed by the Government due to wide spreading of the coronavirus but it did not decrease the stress of poor people who have been stranded in various places of the country. Government told the Supreme Court, arrangements had been made to provide shelters with food for migrant workers and as of then, none of them was on the road while reports have shown, thousands of migrant workers are traveling by foot to reach their native places. Many of them still stranded in Mumbai and Delhi without wages. Maharashtra, the state with the largest number of migrant workers has urged the Government to start train so that migrant workers could be transported comfortably. The Centre must work at ways to allow for their transport to their native places. India has managed to avoid the high fatalities and infection while Europe and North America are being suffered badly. Lockdown has helped, but it has come at a huge humanitarian and economic lost. In my notion:- Central as well as state Governments must heed to provide food and other essential items to the migrant workers as well as old persons who have been facing difficulties to survive their lives since lockdown imposed. Migrant workers must be shifted to their native places by train. Works under MGNREGA schemes should be increased and ensure to provide all the migrant workers. We all know economy of our country is in worst condition but it needs to be taken appropriate steps whereby it can be recovered the previous position gradually. Avoid to blame each other as it is not the way to tackle the issue. The virus has mainly affected the people who usually go to other states for work and earn the money daily basis but due to lockdown their income drastically decreased. House owners also call for room rent but they are unable to pay and due to the high pressure of them they are compelled to leave the room and travel by foot which clearly shows the lapses of the government.
