Good evening sir, Today's motivational quote is from my side “Difficult things can be achieved with regular efforts. Consistently falling rain drops make holes in the rock.” Editorial is concerning to the cancellation of class 12th examination of Central Board of Secondary Education. Summary: - The decision related to cancellation of 12th examination of Central Board of Secondary Education, came after the detailed deliberation by the Centre, may help students, parents and schools for taking further action. After the devastated second wave of the virus, the government had little option to take any decision regarding conduction of examination. Given the impact of the virus in precedent year, the students had predicted that examinations would be conducted easily this year but the second wave that spread due to superspreader events demolished all the mechanisms. Cancelling the examination and replacing it with an objective evaluation will help boards for certification and such steps may also help states for taking further action on states' examination. Last year, when the pandemic on peak, the CBSE had submitted an assessment scheme before the Court for promoting the students through conducting examination of practical and project assessment that will help declaring result and improving performance at a subsequent examination. The decision for cancelling the examination may have resolved a difficult question but the question of national examinations such as NEET and JEE required to be sort out. The centre must take all actions to stop the third wave with the help of ensuring availability of vaccine and identifying the place where virus variants are spreading speedily. For example, Britain was the country that experienced the impact of deadly variants of the virus but it strengthened the mechanism of the country through availability of free vaccine together with testing which proved a crucial move for curbing the spread of the virus. Singapore has recently approved mRNA vaccine coverage that will help recognizing the virus for children, following the United States norms. Britain has also decided to provide extra tuition hours for schools from 2022. The centre cannot ignore the preparation of other countries, it must take responsibility to provide vaccine to all to curb the spreading of the virus. In my notion: - After detailed discussion, the Central Government has finally cancelled the class 12th examination of Central Board of Secondary Education. Most students, schools and parents wanted for deferment of the examination, cancelling the examination seems to be an appreciable step by the government. Students either for board examination or competitive examination both have suffered a lot due to the pandemic crisis. Even most of examinations that were to be conducted, have been shifted but there have no fresh date of examinations announced yet. Our government must learn from other countries that controlled the situation with the help of organising broader vaccination programme together with following a set mechanism. Besides, as we all know age of many students are over especially those who were preparing for competition examinations due to the pandemic crisis so our government must give relaxation to them whereby they can participate in the upcoming examinations otherwise the country will lose many important assets. In our country, there is a big concern that it takes too much time while identifying the variants of the virus while other countries recognize immediately after emerging of the virus, so our Government must work on it whereby further steps can be taken on time. Sir here "variant of concern" (VOC) means the second series of virus variants which are found in different countries. This classification is recently introduced by WHO so none would use the variant name with country name Like- Singapore virus, Indian virus, Brazilian virus and so on
