I already knew these phrasal verbs. Other ones I'm confident to use (and can remember by heart) are: join in, follow up, find out, made out of, chill out, come up, break up, stand out, check out, look after, look forward, go down, go up, come on, come over, let down, put up, make up, turn up, turn down, get in, get on, get into, watch out. Phrasal verbs are very useful to increase comprehension of English. However, there are a lot of them over there, and they're not that easy to learn for an ESL learner like me.

- When using log in (as 2 words), it is being used as a verb showing an action… telling someone to take action…go log in. - When using login (as 1 word), it is being used as a noun or adjective indicating a place or destination… go to the login or go to the login page. The same thinking applies to log out vs. logout

Thanks a lot Max. Your teaching style is amazing and I do love it. It is obvious that there is a difference between the meaning of phrasal verbs and that of the normal verbs but is there any rule or pattern that might help English learners to make an educated guess of the meaning of phrasal verbs. For instance, the existence of the word "down" in words as in cut down, put down, go down, etc which all imply the meaning of "decrease".
