I especially like that you have shown your work in real time rather than speeding it up. Nice work.

Very impressive. My only complaint... Why is this your only video? I could watch this for hours. What an artist!

Nice flow in his work and good execution of his acanthus leaves. Here's a vid you'd enjoy watching of a native artist in the North West, with I understand over 40 years experience teaching and working the fine metals. kzbin.info/www/bejne/i5qvfZSPhctokK8

It looks so simple and easy to do,but I know how hard it is as I`m practicing for some time now.Great tutorial from start to finish.I learn so much from it.Hopefully there will be more.

I know it's been a few years but if you want a future in hand engraving remember one very important thing, you rotate the work, not the graver. On another note, I never used a pneumatic graver but I only worked precious metals.

Nice work never thought about putting art on metal because that’s what it is props for that you must price high I would giving the time and precision it takes.

I love your work, and I am trying very hard to get into engraving myself. but I need some advice. I bought a double engraving machine from china with a small and a large hand pieces. I was told that there would be instructions on how to use the equipment. it was in broken English and I really can't understand it.. Are you willing to give me some advise? I have several questions. if so pleaseprivate message me when you get a chance, Thank You Dave

If you did the same as me and got a blue cheap one that takes 2x aa batteries you might as well throw it away! I got one with a rounder fat end and a thin pointed end but they don't rotate fast enough and the nibs are made of cheap metal,if you are serious and want to put the time in to get good I would recommend you look at the "mcclay micro motor and a large selection of tungsten and diamond and rubber nibs,I suggest watching a glass engraver on KZbin called Leslie I think . Her tutorials and skill are the best I've found ! Hope this helps, tommy uk

Do you think there is a difference in how the hand engraving looks compared to the power. I am about to learn the art form. But am worried about the repetitive motion of the hand work... since the person I'm learning things from.... his wrists are ruined from decades of it. Yet, I won't be doing they type of work he does...

One thought is, researching scroll and its' origins/signifigance from older era. As widely known in engravers' circles, English/European and North American scroll designs are different in size and detail.
