Another fun version of hell freezing over is saying "Hell just froze over" which means the unlikely just happened. People often also say the phrase "Like a bat outta (out of) hell" which means doing something very fast and often out of fear.

I live in Fortaleza, a coastal city in Brazil. A expression 'When hell freezes over' reminded me so much of an expression we used here, which is: “É mais fácil o mar secar (It's easier for the sea to dry)". We use similar contexts, for example ... Imagine my friend tells me she's never going to any party again because she'd rather spend her time studying - And I know she'll never do it. I can answer something like: “É mais fácil o mar secar. (It's easier for the sea to dry)”. This is a very common expression here :)

Hi Emma, How are you? I hope you're doing well . I'm Abdallah, live in a small village in Alex, Egypt. I'm about to turn 24 in the next few weeks. I have decided to watch all of your videos from the beginning to the end. the reason is you have such a splendid way to illustrate everything and I mean it clearly, easily, beautifully and incredibly. Also, your methods are pretty outstanding to get anybody's attention and focus. It seems to me that, your ways are a good opportunity to enhance anybody's English with an impressive person and gorgeous lady who looks like you!! WHAT THE HELL IS THAT "AWESOME"!! Love, Abdallah

This morning I was watching english lessons and I did not breakfast, so my father Give me hell, he was very angry with me. So i thought: To the hell with him, and I said: Go to hell, dad! My mother heard me and she asked me: Why did you said that? "For the heel of it" I answered. My father was very very angry, when I saw him, I run like hell. I´ll talk with him when the hell freezes over. // Hi, my name is Kevin, I´m from Venezuela.

"Like I said before" or "As I said before"? (17:52). The only person who I've heard saying "As I said before", is the President of the U.S.A. This reminds me of the Winston's slogan ('54-'72): "Winston tastes good LIKE a cigarette should". When many criticized the slogan as grammatically incorrect, then they changed it to: "What did you want, good grammar or good taste?".

Really good video for beginners in English :) I happened upon this video as an English speaker and the only thing I thought I'd point out (it's a bit of a pet peeve of mine), is your pronunciation of the word 'pronunciation'. It's proNUNciation not proNOUNciation. Super small thing, not trying to be critical. Great vid :)
