@@lawrencebadman8569 just my two cents but if you are looking for lighting absent of blue - emr tek, bon charge, hooga, midwest red light therapy, healthy home - all sell led bulbs which are absent of blue light. NIRA lights sells lights with infrared frequencies included as well. You could also get incandescents - they have some blue but also have IR (so you could use in daytime but minimize at night perhaps). If you are looking for red light therapy devices - I would check out emr tek and chroma.

I love how Alexis has evolved in the past year. 🖖🏽Dr. Lyon stated that the information Dr. Cowan shared here is “Fringe, and we’re hearing it here first.” Actually, this valuable information was all discovered decades ago and Dr. Jack Kruse has been passionate about learning and applying it to his patients. He has been, or was, squashed by mainstream, but there are professionals and people like Dr. Cowan, who are recently speaking as passionately about all things quantum and circadian biology. Dr. Cowan discovered Dr. Kruse’s work about a year ago and absolutely delivers the information with finesse. Also, Dr. Kruse will always admit that this was not his work, but that of Robert O. Becker and others, and “Uncle Jack” just took the shovel and dug deeper to this date. Alexis is doing the same and I’m so happy for the health future generations who are waking up from the lies of the past 100+ years of centralized information. Good on you Dr. AJC🤟🏽

oh boy! this is a passion of mine for 15 years or more. when i found out why winters were so hard on me from suffering S A D and there was a solution! Light . i got a light canapy that had specific light freqencies that i used each morning . Changed everything. This device had 4 modes that i didnt have a clue what the other colored lights did. Then the craze for skin happened. then the mitochondria effect came back into focus. AND the effect on the brain! I am happy this amazing tool has finally seeped up into health circles! and science!!! Very exciting to have others explain how FANTASTIC Light is for us . Every morning i walk my dog without glasses on my eyes. I have not suffered the way i had years past from S A D since this little thing entered my life. i am so grateful for LIGHT boxes and electricity in the winter! now back to the conversation.

I am from India and this so much ties in with all that I have been told since childhood about the benefits of getting up and out half an hour before sunrise. Its common even now to see people of a certain age practising yoga outside early morning in India. Unfortunately the younger generation prefers the air conditioned gym. As per ayurveda, applying sesame oil and exposing body to the early morning light is even better for absorption of sunlight.

Wow! Years ago I remember people taking photographs of people with a special camera to capture their aura. Seemed "woo-woo" at the time but they said the aura is the energy your own body makes that the naked eye cannot see. Some healthy people would generate a very vivid aura and some people who were not as healthy made a weaker, more dim aura. 😮 So now this all makes sense!

Personally I think it is more about what you put in your body. Like smoking one needs to avoid alcohol, and processed foods. I’m a 62 year old fair skinned female, and have recently had two separate people amazed at my age. They both said, “You have no wrinkles.” I do not avoid the sun, in fact I purpose to get sunlight on my skin and “photons in my eyeballs” as I call it. I do use lanolin and tallow for protection and moisturizer on my skin. They both are similar to the sebum we lose after we age. If I am exposed for long periods of time especially near water, I will use a zinc oxide based sunscreen. I also believe eating more foods with complete amino acid profile will also help one’s skin. I supplement with collagen, glycine, and MSM for my joints, but they are also helping my skin. I don’t use any fancy products on my face and either.

Muscle isn’t quite what the gurus make it out to be. We don’t need to be muscle bound. We have to devote the most energy to the mitochondria in our brain and hearts. Could red light heal the gut? I developed so many so many food sensitivities over the years and most foods trigger anxiety. I could only tolerate cooked animal fat and a moderate amount of meat and some veggies. I can’t do other dairy, carbs or fruits and any other food outside of that. I’ve grown tired being so sensitive. I wonder if taking care of my light hygiene would help with this issue ?

Either move or maximize the cold and get light where you can. Even if it’s cloudy the frequencies are there just in smaller amounts. Everywhere gets the same total amount of light per year. It’s just balanced year around near the equator and heavily present only in the summer further from the equator. Just have the can do mentality and you can maximize your situation

Rising with the sun. . . .it's actually light before the sun comes up. Should I be outside BEFORE the sun comes up, or just as it comes up? And how about a Himalayan salt lamp for the ambient light at night?

I’ve heard there are benefits of being out at first light but actual sunrise is when you’re getting the important red light to kick start your hormones.

Candles(beeswax) are best. Just dim incandescent bulbs are an option. They’re still at hardware stores in small amounts or online.

I live at 8,000', work at up to 11,000', and play at over 14,000'. Seven or eight months of the year there's snow on the ground. Much of the time, I'm above timberline, so I'm surrounded by nothing but snow. It's like being in a solar cooker. There's no way I'm not wearing sunglasses.

I know what you mean, similar to being out on the ocean in south Florida like me. Try eye black if you really are committed to optimization and not worried about judgement or whatever. Otherwise you can definitely build more resilience by practicing good light habits. Wear the sunglasses only when absolutely necessary.

I think a good general rule is that if it isn't uncomfortable to go without them, try not to. I used to wear sunglasses all the time, but the more I expose my eyes to light that used to be uncomfortable the less I "need" them over time. It's easier to "light train" in the mornings and evenings because of the limited spectrums you are exposed to (and these spectrums help regulate your circadian rhythm). But no doubt, it's pretty tough to go without shades when you're on water or snow where you're essentially getting 2x the light bc of the reflection.

@@jopshua4703 An hour or two in the snow without sunglasses will likely cause snow blindness and you wont be able to see anything under any circumstances for the better part of a week.

Get cold exposure. And still get out in the natural light preferably grounded. Also eat locally, seasonally, less carbs more animal fat. Still get some good protein too of course

The doctors work is fascinating. 1:00:23 this statement among many great ones made in the episode is a damming critique of the project of our capitalist, controlled, global productized and productionized near slavery situation that has destroyed life, the quality of living We don’t have the ability to even question why. Those of us who understand how to save ourselves will try to acquiesce to this unnatural living in a sea 🌊 of conformity. Will be the people going outside, buying the supplements, grounding, our feet and such. But, we literally have forces both intentionally and blindly destroying even our ability to even live The sad thing: it’s too terrible to consider, and it’s too complicated to explain to people. even if we could get out of our own way and understanding, the creature conference of our living could be the greatest problem, they are people who essentially love the way things are and they would fight to keep it that way, even though it’s harming everyone everywhere.
