Good list. I went with LW and got ebon netherscale its set me up til Phase 5 honestly. The items like SKulkers and the ring are all Prior hunters in guild i like mysetup currently just need a few items but with phase 2 coming out i cannot wait to see netherbane weps

We are and it's a good stat. It's all weighed on EP and distributed that way. It's the reason why orcs still use axes in p2 for example.

It's a really good mace but you're about halfway through its longevity cycle as of P2.

There is the phylactery of kel'thusad trinket from naxx 150ap against undead and demons, though I am not sure if there are that many demon/undead bosses in tbc or its drop rate.

There are a massive amount of demons in TBC but other trinkets just sim/perform better than 150 flat ap (that isn't even real AP it only gets applied to your physical attacks not your spells)

It would be nice to have a "alternative" bis list, currently in phase 2 as a shaman i'm competing with like 5-9 people for EVERYTHING I want like my t5 pieces, rings, shoulders of the stranger + belt of 100 deaths including some tanks who will for sure get prio over me, the only thing I'm guaranteed is my mace from kael once we actually down him, another thing is trinkets, I got my brooch and a brewfest mug and some people (including the shaman discord) are already saying thats either bis or better than tsunami and not to bother with dst at all. Id like to see alternative lists for upcoming phases, I know for sure that cursed vision will be needed by EVERY dps and hunter in my guild.

@@Holderhek I'm actually curious about your choice of tsunami and dst, yes it is bull to have both in the first place but the weird thing is based on the shaman discords sim having both actually lowers my dps compared to having bloodlust brooch and mug, having the dst is better but tsunami barely sims higher at all for me. Also why talon over dragonmaw? I've been told its better than talon but I can understand if you didn't want to recommend them because of their expensive crafting price, personally I made it because decapitator was NOT dropping for me at all and now I can pass the talon onto the needy hunters in my raid. Also...it would be nice if you mention us blue boys over in alliance here :(

Question about armor pen. Due to the diminishing return, where more armor pen = more effective. If a raid cannot utilize all armor pen methods, will our SW bis change? Like towards haste more?

This gearset is simmed utilizing optional raid buffs, if your raid isn't running IEA for max armor reduction you might see a boost towards haste but it would need to be tested.

I'm not sure if P-5 Gear is really min-max all the way. most bosses have 6200 o. 7700 Armor. This means with IEA Rogue a 6200 boss has still 1.715 Armor left. with only 1344 Amor-Pen we have a damage reduction by around 3.4%. With Coif of Alleria and Mantle of the Golden Forest We will lose 2% hit and 2% haste , but gain 1.2% hit, 14 AP, 231 more Amor-Pen. This means that the damage reduction is around 1.3% this means we gain a 2.1 % damage increase. How important are 2% Hit and 2% haste to a flat 2.1 % damage increase by Amor-Pen? And how is it going to look like if I face a 7700 Boss? Amor-Pen has way better value compared to a 6200 boss.

Just curious in p3/p4 why do orcs use Madness trinket over DST and Trolls and Tauren do not. What makes madness worth using on Orc over DST but not the other Races? Is it the AP/SP racial?

They don't become 1 hand until sunwell afaik and by then you really wouldn't be using them. MAYBE the mace as an offhand for haste but that's it.

Expertise is very strong and it's still a great stat but it's statweight is too high for gear in t4. We have updated values for items on 70 upgrades so it will give you a better idea of how to compare equivalency points.

@@larssteffen5873 BS is still very good. Multiple top parsing shamans are using dragonmaw right now, and will continue to use dragonstrike + rod of the sun king in P2. P3 and onwards is where it falls off, potentially with a later phase reviving it due to being able DW them (not sure when that is though, probably very late).

Thanks, I had the same question. Wondering why the expertise gear from previous BiS list dropped out. All good, I made the rogues in my guild happy by passing on skulkers and liar’s, and I’m still very happy with the expertise pieces

should go with tier 4 gloves instead of helm cus its garbo and use wastewalker helm instead, then go with either wastewalker and tier 4 on chest/shoulders for both set bonuses.

The sim does not really agree with you about the gloves since they are the second worst piece. Wastewalker is good tho.

It was an issue of scaling. I'm going to be updating the 70 upgrade lists. We have a final Sim that changes a couple items from this list which is a few months old. That will be updated today.

It's not that you don't need it it's just that all the other stats outweigh it in these phases. It's just another stat it's not the best stat in the game like everybody thought it was.

@@juanjodelrio1923 technically speaking if you master the sync and stagger macro that is actual best in slot for a while. It is unfortunately a massive pain to use the macro that much. If you're unsure of what I'm talking about one of the last few videos I produced goes over this macro.

the difference between blacksmithing and raid drop weapons is very small. the main benefit is the haste proc from the hammer and the fact that you'll only "need" 1 weapon. I also said that because it's funny.

Bloodlust Brooch/DST sims higher than Tsunami/DST, in fact double bloodlust brooch (Bloodlust Brooch/Empty Mug of Direbrew) sims higher than it as well. Tsunami Talisman should go to other classes.

Your Phase 2 T5 bis list is just wrong. The 5% extra haste on flurry is not worth all the stats you lose from having the 4piece over the off pieces you can get

The T5 bis list was calculated using an indepth sim sheet at average boss kill times and optimal raid buffs/debuffs. Under those circumstances this gear is the best you can do and only when you drastically change the kill parameters would you change this gear

Do you use the Elemental Devastation talent? You said that it boosts the dps quite a bit back in one of your videos, but to me it seems completely worthless since as enhancement shamans we don't get to crit a lot with spells . edit: and by the way, those 5-7k crits are damn unreachable to me, how do you do that? how many AP do you have unbuffed?

Elemental dev is a dead talent in TBC. Those crits are from being in the blue beam on netherspite.
