I cannot express in words how much I love this series. Blender, Mario Kart, (piracy), literally what more could you ask for.

5:55 small correction here: in time trials, animal crossing is always set in the summer version and isnt based on real time

I love how this series is turning out. But I will say I kinda wished the starting banner wasn't just a slap on of the GBA Mario Circuit but instead a new looking banner. Unless that is just a placeholder, who knows
@SomeRobIoxDudeАй бұрын
You can change it, its just kinda difficult and its much better to get everything else done first
@That1One-GuyАй бұрын
Do you know the story of the guy who every day moved a little bit of furniture to make his wife go insane, and then she did? That’s basically what you go through every time you mess with this track.

i randomly got recommended the complete "season 1" of this series and im obsessed. I love the progress, I love the format, getting advice from peoples comments between videos, and I love this track! Honestly everything you're doing is fun and inspiring and I cannot wait for more.
@Gold_YoshiАй бұрын
I know at this point it doesn’t matter so much, but you can select which season the Animal Crossing track loads in by holding the Bumpers or Triggers. Each bumper and trigger corresponds to different seasons.

The part where you tried to barter with the program and hoped it respected your time was hilariously relatable

Is there a way to like a video twice? In all seriousness, I really enjoy these videos. It’s refreshing to see a person struggle to create something, because it’s a great reminder that everyone is human. We all have to learn, and there’s enjoyment in that process, even with the struggle. This is a fantastic series and I’m here for all of it!

This series is great, and it accurately represents game programming. Seeing this content feels quite similar to coding my own games in the fact that projects stop and start randomly throughout the year and sometimes get redone. I don't know if this happens to many other people, but some days, I get so focused on fixing a bug that I forget to eat, and I look at the window confused of the time. I have had my project for around three years and seeing this makes me want to work on my project again.

These videos have been fun to watch. Big tip: To add water in a custom track, you need to add a 2D model plain in blender for the surface of water. Add the water texture/material in Track Studio. If the water doesn't show up in-game, you need to flip the 2D plain back in blender. The water box in TS you were messing with in this video is only for underwater driving. You can still use it for out of bounds when players fall in. Hopes this helps!

Yeah I sort of suspected this was how it was done but wasn't sure. Thanks!

this is so much fun. for most modding videos, i see the idea and the end product, and smile and nod. you're making the process of learning, through the frustration and successes, so much fun as a piece of media. keep it up!!!!

The big thing with wii u is that I add the dlc obj's to the mapobj folder so I don't run into the issues you had with the crashes when using the dlc tracks obj's. Most people have moved to switch anyway, and I don't blame you.

I do slightly miss the old trees that weren't ports directly from Animal Crossing. The new ones have a bit of a distracting "Animal Crossing" look to them, making them stick out in a track that doesn't really have anything to do with Animal Crossing.

I think you should keep the leaf piles, but not the trees since they are directly pulled from animal crossing, which isn’t a Mario themed course.

If I could make a small suggestion, the color of the grass is really weird, especially when you're actually playing it. It looks like there's frost on the ground, which could be cool, but doesn't match with the autumn trees.
@buddermantheamazingАй бұрын
Definitely not a fan of how the sign wall looks, the fence was way better. If it has to be a solid wall I'd make it match the buildings and path more, maybe sort of a cobblestone wall type thing. Please do fix that one, it adds a whole different weird vibe

@nicholaspearce2250Ай бұрын
@Charlie’s cafe, there is a light problem with the Animal Crossing trees. They are a different colour than the rest of the trees in the map and I actually really prefer the more golden tree texture. Do you think there would be a way to change the colour of the trees and leaf piles to match that of the rest of the track?
@MERCHIODOSАй бұрын
You should fix one of the Winter Booster Pass tracks that like you did with Coconut Mall.
@Maelys_ACNHАй бұрын
I might be imagining this, since I'm not qualified to talk about this at all, but shouldn't the track be scaled up slightly ? A lotta areas feel a bit cramped, at least to me as a viewer.
@bronwynknox3605Ай бұрын
I felt the opposite! Mario looks too small to me. Maybe it’s just right then 😂
@SpinyRatАй бұрын
some of the track seems really cramped, like the start area looks fine but some alleys n such seem a bit thin to be played on properly with other racers, but also i might just be stupid
@JudeSalibaАй бұрын
Also, I think you should scale it down slightly
@GoopyOnYoutubeАй бұрын
For the leaf piles, could you use the maple treeway ones instead? I’ve never modded anything in my life but it seems like it may work
