The staring comment… I remember one day I was shopping and this girl was staring at me relentlessly. So much so that I asked her if she had a problem. She nervously told me “you’re so pretty. I love your eyes.” I felt so bad for the girl and just smiled back and said thank you. From that point on, I don’t let strangers staring bother me in the least. I trained myself to not notice.

I used to be afraid of what people would think if I went out alone but a couple of years ago when my favorite band came to my city and I had no one to go with I just said screw it I'm going and I'm so glad that I did! It's a memory that I'll have for the rest of my life. I went out alone to another concert last night and made some really cool new friends 🖤

I’m on my 2nd loc journey. But i have a curious question because you are obviously cute and fit “society’s” standard of beauty minus the hair style. Do you think your locs are keeping you single? I have locs again and wonder if this will be a deterrent in dating. I love thick locs but I have to wonder if you had smaller locs, like Sisterlocs, if that would attract men more. I don’t have those beliefs but it would be a great social experiment.
