❄️ I Was One Of Those People Who Suggested Getting A Heating Blanket. So Happy It’s Working For You. I Put A Flannel Sheet, Then The Heating Blanket, Then Two More Blankets. Stay Nice And Warm That Way. Another Way Fold The Blanket In Half The Long Way. Lay On One Half Pull The Other Half Over You Pile Blankets On Top. This Way You Have Heat Under You Also. ❄️

Your bed is surrounded by leaky windows. I recommend a barrier between you and them. If your frig isn’t running, put water bottles in freezer to keep water from freezing. I love my metal coffee filter, wash and reuse.

I use a hot water bottle wrapped in fleece. It stays warm all night and I use it in the mornings as well. It's portable and saves power. I'm glad that you have an electric blanket now. I like your vlogs. Thanks for sharing.

i may be missing key info. maybe you could summarize your situation & plans . how is it possible that you did not plan for the forecasted freezing conditions? meantime - is there any reason you do not buy a propane heater - get a 35$ tank from home depot & heat up the place ? it will heat up within 15 minutes... turn on when you get up int he AM ... make is livable.....

I didn’t read to see if anybody already mentioned this, but pet heating pads only take a few watts. I have one that takes 13 W on high and the other one only takes 7 W. They’re on Amazon or at Walmart, those places. That would be less of a drain on your battery than a heating blanket, and it feels really nice keeping the mattress warm.

I 100% agree with you. Renewable sources of heat is better than having to continously pay for diesel or propane or something. You're thinking practically of what's best for you. Temporarily, an electric blanket - maybe even a battery operated one which can also be charged in your car - will at least keep you warm at night. Then I hope you get that electric heater!

So happy to hear that you have an electric blanket. Might I suggest, that that you run a rope from head of your bed to your feet area, and make a tent ,close to your body, using a tarp, or blanket, and tuck it in. It will help keep you warmer! No matter how small the crack, cold air will creep in, so use whatever you have to add insulation / block around the doors and windows , will help also . Praying for you 🙏🙏✌

Have you tried hot water bottles? I have two and use them ALL winter. You can run the water through the coffee pot. Put one in your bed before getting in, under the covers, and it will be toasty when you are ready. You can also tuck one into your jacket for warmth during the day. They're not expensive and are a good investment that will save money and heating resources! Also, get something to hang over those windows. I suggest a few of those emergency blankets, the shiny ones. Place them shiny side in and it will reflect the heat back into your space. I have also heard they reflect light, as well, but I don't know from personal experience.
@simonelvins742
@simonelvins742 14 күн бұрын
You can't run the water through a kettle or coffee pot because the rubber disintegrates on the rubber hot water bottle and the particles end up in the kettle. Look at the bottom.

Yes, the idea vs reality hits different when we experience it. I used to imagine life would be so awesome this way or that way… then I would try things and they were never as I imagined them. It is a struggle until we figure it out or go back to “normal life” if we can afford it. Thanks for commenting this. I will be talking about this topic today on my video.

Hi. Just came across your channel. I assume you are very new at this. A big important lesson to remember. Never ever use the high to start out anything from your Bluetti. Start everything on low and your Bluetti will last so much longer. Drawing too much so fast especially if you buy a kettle pulls energy you may need for an emergency. Also have you wrapped or winterized your hose to your water tanks? If not there is a good chance they have cracked. Hopefully not but you will have to get a inspection in the spring before turning on your water

I wonder if reflectex or movers blankets would cut the chill from all those windows you are sleeping by. I've put a tent over my bed to contain my body heat and keep the chill out of my breathing, nose and mouth. It helps tremendously. But soon as you open the tent! OoLaLa 😆

At least you have a shelter and a bluetti to have power, seems to me you are either not planning well or it makes good content for a KZbin channel, not being mean, just seems like so many people are using the KZbin channel for free stuff , lots of them are talking about things they wish or want to get when they get the money, then, walk, someone sends them it, then it's on to the next pitty talk for something else, hats off to people who are making their way along just doing it because of the adventures not the capital gain, hope you finely get warm and don't forget to plan for summer, wouldn't want you to be sweating with no air, enjoy your day,!!

I don’t know why your channel showed up…. I gave you a listen. I actually tried to watch a couple of your videos. Don’t you think calling yourself frugal and then having all your money apps displayed across your banner is tasteless? What…Frugal with other people’s money? I find it hard to believe that a grown woman that lives this lifestyle has not prepared for weather conditions. Acting as if you never heard of a heated blanket, hand warmers, hot water bottles, heating pads, propane or anything prior to the suggestions is just pulling on heartstrings to perpetuate donations/gifts. Which you received to then make new content. What content were you going to make prior to those donations? Or without them? Setting up your camera to go back into your bed and lay down, freeze and complain while filming is comical. I don’t feel sorry for you. I see a lot of people getting scammed with your soft-spoken voice and intentional nativity. Some people see right through that shit. I’m sure my directness will offend some, I don’t care. Just calling it like I see it. May this be a lesson to all ✨
