I have only been learning Russian for 2 months with a Russian speaker and seeing how Victoria learns by watching your lips too makes me feel so much better about how slow I have to have him speak for me so I can understand. The pronunciation/emphasis is so difficult!!

jalabi99 we just use the english word „hater“ when it comes to internet, so it‘s „хейтер“. But of course there is a russian word for it: „ненавистник“, which is more general in meaning

Every language has a lot of short phrases like "Cho tebe nado (What do you need)", but this one is just a vulgar form. Slang can be professional (in Russian IT slang there are a lot of slang words came from Eng) or accociate with some social groups (gangs or subcultures). If you guys want to learn some russian slang, you need to be into the culture.

It is slang , может не фраза ‘че тебе надо’ , но такие слова как ‘козел’ ‘’отвали ‘ ‘урод’ ‘не нарывайся’ и т.п. - это слэнг. Иностранец не сможет понять как использовать эти слова, если переведёт дословно. Просто фразы без употребления слэнга будут звучать что-то типа: ‘Отойди от меня некрасивый человек!’

Многие слова используемые в русской повседневной речи - слэнг, например ‘хайпнуть’, ‘бомбит’ ‘трэш’ ‘огонь’ и такие слова как ‘пилить кого-то’, ‘присобачить’, ‘зафигачить ‘ и т.п. тоже слэнг, для понимания такой речи нужно просто пообщаться с людьми вокруг, не обязательно быть частью какой-то субкультуры. I think you can shorten some of his phrases. It will make them easier to pronounce and it will add emotional expressiveness. So, instead of "отвали от меня (otvali ot menya)" just say "отвали! (otvali!)", or instead of "чё тебе надо? (chje tebe nado?)" just say "чё надо? (chje nado?)". Usually the person whom you are addressing is aware of that and pronoun can be skipped.
