Because Universities aren't there to educate, they are there to; Steal your private 'property' (textbooks, fees, union dues etc.) Protect the 'life' to which it is accustomed (Doing absolutely nothing to facilitate your education other than using convoluted language that results in absolutely nothing being said in the duration of an hour long lecture, therein necessitating the purchase of their overpriced tombs of even more convoluted waffle!) This was my report in High School (Around 2015) I remember giving up because I was lazy to scan and read my references. I thought to myself, "What if there was a KZbin video which is EXACTLY about my report?" Excellent explanation of essential content! After watching this and students taking notes on it, a middle school student could easily teach this lesson. Although Crash Course is excellent, John Green could take a lesson in slowing down a bit. :-)

I learned of these guys in highschool, though at the time found it hard to understand what was so special for. Started learining more about the founding fathers like Thomas Jefferson and learn more about how revolutionary these were in practice. This video though is a great summary of key Enlightenment figures. Very clear and great visual aids.
