I can't tell you how much I appreciate your Eaneogram videos. I'm a nine as well and always just assumed I was a flake...bc that's what people told me, and conflict horrifies me. But I don't Feel nothing...I feel all of the things, but telling my family especially would definitely create drama...thst also really bums me out. Everyone thinks they have me figured out, bc I acquiese, but nobody actually knows me. I have a little hope now that maybe I'm not a vague little ghost person.

Thank you Wensis. You are spot on about 'everyone being a bit different' - sharing the same (INFJ EII e9w1) - I'm at a different stage along this path of personal fulfilment but so much of what you say in this video matches personal experience. I find on the expression side, being creative is my 're-balancer', as it gives motivation. I think also what saves us and helps us be positive is that we are forward looking and can see the potential in everything.

Thank you so much for this video! I'm also an INFJ and currently considering the possibility of being enneagram 9w1. I find it difficult to distinguish INFJ and enneagram 9 actually and to see the extra value of the ennegram, since all the growth directions relating to type 9 seem to already be there for INFJs: needing to develop boundaries, tapping into Se in a healthy way, being inspired by ESTP vs integrating into type 3... also 'perspectives' is all type 9 is about, coupled with Fe. I guess what I'm wondering is: where does INFJ end and type 9 start? (I'm aware that being an INFJ 9 I probably merged my vision of INFJ with my being a 9, so any help would be really appreciated!) Thank you so much for your work, you are an inspiration! :)

I think the 9 type thing is very much about being driven (or rather suppressing the drive) for conquering and assertiveness...the infjs that I have met that are 4 or 5s don't feel like they have this drive that they supress in order to keep harmony... all in all it's hard to tell where infj stops and enneagram 9 starts...it's more of two concepts that you put on top of each other. I hope that helps and thanks for your feedback!

I'm the type nine as well. In my individual way I have been going through the same process - and in my case through teaching - first as a piano teacher and then as a school teacher. I'm not as familiar with the enneagram but I see its usefulness. My best sense of belonging is when I can take something the people have trouble understanding and present it in a way that they can "get it." It's rewarding on both sides because I know that I'm helping them and it also builds me up as well. if I were a betting person, I would think but this is quite similar to what you're doing. You went into a different profession than what I did but you have a lot of the communicator and teacher in you whether you work in a school or not. You have a lot of the counselor in you as well and I think that teaching and counseling maybe two sides of the same coin. Very helpful video, Wenzes.

I can completely relate Linda...especially with finding joy in finding a way to make people understand...once they do and they feel better about it , it is one of the most rewarding things ever-.

thank you ! I like your videos. Started studying the Enneagram in '03, and have lately been studying the tri-types for Enneagram. I am a 6-4-9...I very much see all 3 types in me. I am an INFJ (recently found this out.) Your vids are very helpful in understanding INFJ. I get confused as to whether I am a 4 or 6 primary, type...i feel them both the same. And 9 is huge for me... all 3 feel equal, however, I was a 9 type child for sure.

As a 9, when you become catatonic and out of touch with the world, it can become difficult to believe in yourself, or that you are as worthy as those around you. Shame, then, the central emotion of the feeling center (it seems to me) becomes an especially dominating factor. Perhaps it's an underestimation of a feeling center type in my tritype that leads me to this opinion? Or maybe I'm not a 9 after all?
@Wenzes9 жыл бұрын
+TheGerogero Hey, well when I was in that state I was also ashamed but I think I was just absorbing other peoples perception of me too much...since I didn't fit what they wanted me to be I was ashamed...but the truth is under that shame there was anger, anger that someone is expecting me to be a certain way and anger that I had to suppress my true being. Once I let that anger out (which was very painful because I thought if people see me angry they wouldn't like me anymore), i felt empty and sad...but since I kind of reached the bottom and the truth I could build myself up from that point being my authentic self and doing what is good for me, fighting for me truth. This 'breakdown' was a true 'breakingpoint' and the beginning of something wonderful and pure.
@TheGerogero9 жыл бұрын
INFJ:BelowtheRadar-AbovetheSystem Hmm! Whether an emotion is rooted in self-perception or of the absorbed perception of others is a good thing to think about. You are very wise :D thank you.

I have a conundrum of thought, I don't want to doubt people but I get the feeling there are a majority of people who pretend to understand but have ulterior motives, Interestingly enough it isn't really acceptable to say "well, I feel for you but I need and rather take care of myself". So were does that leave the people who have the higher empathy skills? Conflicted I would say.
@Wenzes8 жыл бұрын
+Jeremiah Fix It is a question you have to settle with yourself. If you know that the believe system of someone else makes you feel bad about yourself then take yourself out of the situation. You are always allowed to judge: that believesystem is not good enough for me. You are not judging the other person all you say is, I don't want that energy in my life
@jeremiahfix55298 жыл бұрын
Not quite, I'm questioning by fakers, the society I live in basically pressures women into always being empathetic, not necessarily wrong but, there people who "give a dam" because social convention dictates as such.
