I always test as 7w8 and this is so true. My friend who is a 7w6 looks like me on the surface level- both very friendly, outgoing but she definately has a harder time with anxiety. People are always surprised when my aggressive, argumentative side comes out during times, because I usually am easygoing.

@@monalletinie143 no. 7s are usually easygoing because of their carefree attitude and disregard for rules. They have expressive personalities. 9s are easygoing because they want to be at harmony with themselves. They have a relaxing energy.

Damn I was wondering how I could be an ENFP while having this magical ability to turn off my Fi whenever I wanted to. Now I know I'm just a neurotic 7w6 who pursues love and connection with other people from the most egoistic and functional way possible (although this doesn't cancel out my important ethical code that I would feel bad for breaking). Thanks so much for this! It clears it up. I'm definitely a 7 wing 8. I'm not sadistic at ALL -- I personally think that's a separate category related to empathy...but people did call me fearless many times, so that makes sense. I do protect my boundaries but not in a mean way. Thanks again for a great video

I’m a 7w8 ENFJ. I do see a correlation between the enneagram and Meyers-Briggs which is fascinating to me. I’m only confrontational when the need arises. Otherwise I’m extremely easygoing. Thanks for your video!

Thanks for this. You are a really great teacher. I'm 8w7 and I sometimes liken the rarity of 8s to panthers who require a large territory! Unconsciously of course. I'm always excited to be around other 8s because there is a relaxation, like I let go of holding the world together. I also recently discovered that the seduction of 2s pulls me into 7! Looking forward to the 8 videos.

For a while, I thought I was a 3w4, I've recently been professionally typed and got 7w8, and while I was puzzled thinking that I am too socially correct to be a 7w8 (btw I am so/sx) so I came to do some more research (As an ENFP I can't stop thinking in terms of "but what if") When you said this 10:27 I was like HOLD UP, ever since I was little I would literally go nuts if people touched my things or entered my room without my permission, I literally got into physical fights for that stuff xD I guess I am a 7w8 after all.

I REALLY cannot figure out if I'm a 8w7 or a 7w8!! I'm curious if which wing you lean towards can change in defferent seasons of your life? Because if they can- then maybe my core type IS 7, because I can relate to both 7w6 and 7w8 however if my core type is 8, I can certainly relate to 8w7 but not to 8w9. I’ve been studying enneagrams for about a year now, and I can not for the life of me, figure out my type. I’ve identified as a 2 for quite awhile, and it felt right at first, but I don’t know.

Make sure you explore instincts. Someone who has a strong social instinct can easily feel like a two no matter what the space they are. Beatrice Chestnut has a great book on it. Google her name along with your possible spaces you relate too and see if something resonates. I’m a social seven, which makes me feel less 7-like as I sacrifice my pleasure drive to make sure others are happy. Toss in my wing six and hold myself back from being the typical 7 adventurer, so I didn’t resonate with 7 for several years.

Nope. At least not in a real way- people do convince themselves and pretend that they are types that they aren’t.😆 Considering that Enneagram is about sin patterns and our brokenness, we shouldn’t really desire the sin patterns of another type more than our own. I do commend your self awareness though in acknowledging that you feel that way. I think a lot of people prefer 8 to 6, but that’s kind of bogus as aforementioned. They are both screwed up with big potential for being amazing.
