Great video. I trained with Enoeda Sensei during that period and found him to be very inspirational.The training was very hard,especially on thesummer course at Crystal Palace,but it certainly built up a strong fighting spirit that has stayed with me all my life.

@Genuinesaint Thanks for your comments. It was a long time ago but memorable nevertheless. As a budding film director I spent the day bossing him around. After a while he got fed up and kicked me in the solar plexus! It didn't hurt - he judged it to a millimetre - but I felt the force. A very powerful but nice man, may he rest in peace.

Excellent video :) It is interesting to see how similar the Marshall Street dojo, Karateka and Karate in the 70's is, when compared to nowadays. Karate practice would have been good now as 30 years ago.

Thanks for your comment. Yes, you are right Shotokan is a martial art. But many people also regard Karate as a sport.

I did not train in shotokan, I simply filmed Enoeda but could recognise, and still do, the truth in what you say. Thanks for the intrest.
