Күн бұрын

RAISE THE SAILS!! Woot woot, we’re going SAILING!! After installing two of our six solar panels, we fire up the engine to make sure Mr. Beke still runs, and we’re off the dock. We cross Mobile Bay chauffeured by a pod of dolphins, and enter the GICW (Gulf Intracoastal Waterway) which takes us to LuLu’s and Pirate’s Cove. We’re elated to be on the move again, and ready to begin our adventures in the Gulf of Mexico.
Hope you enjoy!

Kirk, why ask why? Lauren is a wonderful breath of fresh air and beauty to have on board. If she is doing early morning yoga , that's fine, Helping you figure out you passage , brings the rays of sunshine to life. Wonderful. What ever it take to never see her unhappy face again and all will be well. Enjoy and go with flow. A special time never to be lost. Cheers. Warren

Glad to see you stopped at Pirate"s Cove. It must have been off season; there were no boats on the beach and no hordes of folks partying. Robert's Bayou, the body of water behind Pirate's Cove, is called Robert's Bayou. As you discovered, it is one of the best anchorages in that area and is one of my favorite anchorages. I've been visiting Pirate's Cove since 1990. They have some wonderful bands playing on the weekends and in June, they have an awesome autism fundraiser with a fantastic Elvis impersonator.

I cried along with you nothing more stressful that watching cowboys destroy something precious to you. I sure hope you sue them for the return of the money they took from you...pursue them please in the courts. Those shysters need to be named and shamed so that they do not do this to anyone else. I was so sad to see the normally smiling face so very sad. Stay strong...and don't worry it will be alright in the end and you'll get an even better one made by someone who does know what they are doing. Much love Heather from Scotland. x

Another great video! And to the people watching these videos, remember to NOT skip the ads... You have to watch at least 30 seconds of the ad for them to get any money at all but from the 30 second mark on, the longer we watch, the more they get. Let's help get these wonderful people's ad revenue up higher! 😉🙂

We just eat at Lulu's, they have a great appetizer called the Crazy Sista's Crab Toast. The owner is on location just about every day. However, Jimmy Buffet has never visited the restaurant. Wife and I have enjoyed watching several of your videos. Don't stress the small things. I once hit bottom twice in 1 week. SeaTow was my best friend that week, 24 years ago and it happens to everyone. Two types of people, those that hit bottom and those that are going too... Make sure you always double check and recheck again before leaving out. Never get into a rush to go or to be anywhere. This is where you can make serious and a series of mistakes that can be brutal. Always remember safety first! Did I tell you safety first? Much love from my wife and I. Keep your heads up and you got another new subscriber. Florida welcomes you with open arms! Oh one last thing. You two make such a wonderful team/couple. Your 37 is beautiful too! Maybe we will see you in the future!

My wife grew up about 2 blocks from Dog River and when we got married in the early 70s we did a lot of fishing by the Dog River bridge. My wife is now a retired elementary school principal and I am a retired city manager. We now live on the water in Mary Esther FL but we are too old to do what you are doing so we just enjoy sailing by watching videos like yours. Thanks

Knowing how long ago this footage was shot doesn't diminish the excitement I felt for our departure (did I say OUR?) I'm onboard like it or not. I won't eat or say much. When Kirk stepped into the cockpit at dawn and mentioned the sunrise I immediately was reminded of the movie Tora! Toea! Tora! "Ohhh, this is a good sign.". I'll bet Kirk could do a great imitation of the Japanese pilot. It's good to be sailing again.
