That's facts...he was telling it like it is...like when your opponent had beaten you down they've think they won when you already know they'll try to break you where as if you watch their moves you strike back at the right time for them to suffer as they've made you suffer...what that guy said was deep to win we have to perpare for the impossible if our will bends after we bend it backwards to find our strengths to fight back that was real shit he said.

An officer saw through all of the BS, and after a team of cops put my ex in jail, about an hour and a half later just one officer came back to my house. He sat me down at my kitchen table, eye-to-eye, and asked me what was really going on. He told me he felt it in his gut and that he wouldn't be able to sleep if he didn't come back here and find out if I was okay, truly okay. And it was that, that empowerment, that opened the floodgates. I was so afraid of the repercussions of saying anything that I didn't for a very long time but that one officer, after speaking with him I told everything. From start to finish. My statement, summarized, was 8 pages long. After the case went to court, because of the severity, without my even having to ask for it, the judge ordered a lifetime full no contact 100-year standing criminal protective order. So truthfully, most of the time the police don't help. Or at least they can't. But every once in awhile, there is one. Who knows where I would be right now without that one officer.

I do enjoy this scene, but unfortunately, there is one aspect that makes it completely impossible. The finished product is possible, especially seeing its combination of boxing and wrestling conditioning with jkd and Krav techniques. It's the time frame. To get someone from stage 0 to combat effective takes years even if you're living with the coach and training full-time. 1000s upon 1000s of hours of drills and pressure testing with live sparring. Even that little choke escaped. They'd have to practice her escaping with him, trying to choke her unconscious 3000+ times to even begin to have a chance of pulling it off. Her going all "mama bear" is not a variable that to this either. Now it's just a movie, but for someone who has trained several women (and men) very much like this, it's also very, very dangerous to give this unrealistic of an expectation. So, this end result is possible under a few conditions. First, she has made training her full-time job, 20+ hrs a week, which is a professional fighters training schedule. That's tough to maintain but possible with proper rest and nutrition. Second, she's very athletic and able to learn quickly. I don't mean athletic in being muscular. Getting fit and toned is easy, and anyone can do it. Being athletic is controlled by your nervous system and is how fast your body learns movements. Third is no major injuries in training that set her back. Now, if all three prerequisites are achievable, then and only then, 3 years, maybe 2 if extremely talented. But within days to weeks, as this scene implies, impossible. Even for a D1 level athlete still in their prime.
