Trying to evade an abusive spouse with a kid, and not able to find much help. It's heartbreaking to know that there are people out there who would go to great lengths to hurt someone.

Now I understand why Jupiter didn’t believe Slim. The other children of Jupiter were after his money for profit sake alone. While Slim just had to run to Jupiter for help, because she just had no other option. So when those private investigators threatened to kill Jupiter, if he tries to help Slim, that’s when he figured out how serious Slim’s situation was. Glad he turned around. Took me 20 years to figure this out. But I was only 5 when I watched this. I was like, why didn’t he believe what Slim was saying at the office???

Yeah it felt lile it was a bad move on his part but in reality it makes scense. But it showed that he was a nice guy when he gave her that money without even knowning that was his real daugther. He was helping out someone who was in real trouble and he knew that.

The papa bear in him has taken charge now and it's hard to miss he did love her now to the extent that he'll continue to fulfill his duties from now on! ❤

If I had a biological father that did not support me my entire life, did not acknowledge my existence or cared if I was *alive or dead* , than I would not be at his office asking for money. It's not healthy to be without a father but the woman who gave birth to you leaves a place that is hard to remove. In this movie, Slim is on the run and has no choice but to turn to her dead, filthy rich father but if she had died at the hands of her husband and her child was left without her mother, that would be even harder for a person to deal with.

My father called me almost everyday telling me bad stuff about my relationship before it even came to past. When I asked him about $80 he complained that it will take him $8 to send the $80 😮. My father is a retired police officer. Soon as I get where I need to go I'm changing my phone number. I was 100% for leaving my husband today but when my father said that it made me feel like my husband isn't that bad. My husband called me a MF and said he hate me today, stalked me and took my car. All that stuff my husband did I'm over already but I can't go to sleep last night because how my father acted. The way my father talked to me explains why I have the husband I have. Next week I'm changing my phone number. Then he start throwing the Bible at me and talking about sins in the Bible I never committed.
